Implement standalone Access Points to each smartphone, they should be enabled by default and become active either on request or when no other type of Internet Access is available.
I'm a freak. I read whole articles. You can find some interesting shit in there:
3. Why do you have hundreds of spreadsheets? Why not just merge them into one maintainable spreadsheet where you could fix the problem in one place?
Because shut up.
Anyway, I do have Office365, I do use web query to pull tables in, and they pull in fine. The article didn't mention whether the web query method works or not after uninstalling Office 2010. I wonder if that was the issue:)
Two hours before your comment I was at +5... I guess the Microsoft-hating crowd woke up:) No matter though, I admit I read the article to figure out what the hell did Microsoft fuck up this time, but I couldn't find it. So I thought it would be good to call this specific hate as bullshit, because we all should aim at being objective at least when analyzing hard data.
What a load of bullshit. Sensationalism at its best.
1. The attack vector wasn't Windows, it was Word. This means the attacked PC must have Word installed. 2. Word must be ran with Administrative privileges by the user. 3. The malicious code must be made available and downloaded through a trusted network share. 4. The yellow warning bar must be clicked on and the dangers of using macros must be accepted for the macro to run.
Even TFA says:
This hack may not have been the prettiest or easiest to launch. You could argue that the hack took too many steps that wouldn't be replicated in the real world, and that this case would rely on either social engineering or physical access to a device, rather than a weaponized file to launch on a double-click. That said, hackers aren't known to give up after a little over three hours probing vulnerabilities.
But hey, with this being Slashdot, people happily guzzle watered-down shit that editors throw their way and are more than happy to foam at the mouth saying "Windows sucks". I agree that it's way less than perfect as an OS, but TFA does NOT prove it.
I don't envy shit, I say the rich become richer and the poor become poorer, and that's a proven fact. If the rich "invest" in things that increase the disparity between social strata, that's not really an investment, is it?
There are plenty methods to "invest" money in stuff that doesn't help the economy. e.g. rich people buying shit from each other. Larry Ellison bought an island, just an example off the top of my head.
Add to that the fact that vendors will hoard the money rather than reinvest them and you end up with a crapton of unemployed people and a shitload of money sitting in war chests or mansions on the Riviera.
Car price is irrelevant. You can go unconscious in a Bugatti Veyron - which would immediately turn you dead. At least, with a Tesla, you have a much higher chance of actually arriving at your destination than if going unconscious in another car.
You described me when I was a kid. I never enjoyed playing those stupid games kids used to play when I was young. Some were okay but most did not interest me. So I kept reading books, draining the local library. Amazingly, that didn't turn me into a weirdo. Granted, I have less friends than the average, but those who are my friends easily qualify as "best friends".
When all you have is a taxidermied honey badger, every hole is a vagina.

I only accept payments in Ethereum.
Heck, where do I buy one?
Math.
Add opportunities for 5 people while removing opportunities for 500.
The result is -495.
The amount of people affected matters more than the amount of money saved, or invested or whatever.

I pissed off the wrong people, it seems :)
And remove opportunities from several thousand more.
End result: negative market value.
I could say the same about your entry. Made me depressed.

Judging by their knee-jerk response, no they don't.
Ease off, Travis, you'll be a CEO again. Don't worry.
I tried but my dick didn't fit the mosquito's ass.
"We're too lazy to tell it what to look for, so we just let it do its thing and present that as an achievement".
But seriously, interesting story.

I like stupid cocks.
(to be modded informative)
Yes, they are temporary. It's in TFS. You didn't even have to read TFA.
I bet she's already stealing pocket change from you,

I think the world is large enough to fit both types of people: those who sink into tech and those who don't.
I am not a Venezuelan, and neither is my wife!
We're all eccentric, only nobody cares about investigating our eccentricities.
Yes, me.
