  1. Threats or action on Spamming a Judge Is Contempt of Court · · Score: 1

If one were going to actually inflict harm upon another, why would they give them a heads up with a threat? You'd think they'd just do it. Ever notice in horror films that the guy who says "I'm gonna kill you" is always the one being killed. You'd almost think that a threat is an indication someone's not going to commit a crime. "Excuse me sir, I'm going to rob your convenient store at 11pm"...wtf?!?

if we didn't live in a society where the average Joe plays by one set of rules, and the "elite"(they're actually fascist morons) play in lawlessness. The FCC will find a way around this because the internet is a threat to our totalitarian government. Net Neutrality claims to help the consumer, but like all legislation coming out of Washington there is a lot of non-sense attached that will ultimately screw the consumer.

If we lived by the constitution, the FCC wouldn't even exist.

Plus you really can't be that smart(even if your score was respectable) since the label on the package says what you're doing is really stupid, metaphorically speaking. That's like saying the girl in Scary Movie who ran up the stairs when the sign said "Certain Death(pointing up the stairs)" might be smart if she scored high on an IQ test.

The younger generations ears have been trained to prefer the dissonance of pop singers. You can form fit a turd to a baking pan, but it will never be a chocolate pie.

  16. This is an absolute disaster on House Passes Massive Medical Insurance Bill, 219-212 · · Score: 1

HMO, Medicare, Medicaid, and countless mandates on insurance companies have already done considerable damage to the health care system. This will ultimately destroy it. The price of health care has been rising ever since the government started intervening back in the 70's. If you look at any other free market item(well mostly free, nothing's totally free market in Socialist America), the price has come down in spite of inflation. You can look at computers, electronics, etc....Of course a defender of Socialism would say health care is more complicated than computers(which I probably disagree with), to which I would rebut with Lasik Surgery and Plastic Surgery....neither of which are covered by insurance.

Insurance is government controlled pre-Obamacare bill. When the government tells the insurance companies what they have to cover for policies, that is government control. Things like maternity costs, diabetes, or eye exams should not be covered by insurance. That would be like having your automobile policy cover oil changes. The purchaser of an insurance policy should decide what he would like to insure. Insurance is for spreading the risk for an unforeseen tragedy. At least a portion of what the government forces insurance companies to cover does not meet that criteria.

It is quite unethical for the health care industry to make you sign to agree to pay the amount, but not tell you what the amount due is going in. You find out AFTER treatment. Well in a free market, you can find out the price before hand and shop around.

The Democrats wrote a 2800 page bill. I can save 2799 pieces of paper AND solve the health care crisis.
    1. Repeal the HMO, phase out Medicare and Medicaid.
    2. Remove all government regulations on insurance and let the consumer decide what is insured.
    3. Remove all government subsidies on cadillac insurance plans.
    4. Allow private companies to build hospitals, and compete for patients business. At the same time, stop subsidizing public hospitals.
    5. Stop subsidizing education and driving up the cost for Doctors forcing them to charge these outrageous rates.

They just rambled meaningless drivel. The ones that were brilliant were vilified by the rest of the underachievers.

The goal of higher education is for a bunch of lazy professors to mooch off of the taxpayers.

  25. Live music will never die on How Artificial Intelligence Is Changing Music · · Score: 1

This sounds good, not $10.7 million good. How do I know that someone didn't just do a good job of midi programming? The article, like all pop science articles, is extremely vague. "Complex software" could mean Sonar from the perspective of the average Joe. Throw a bunch of buzz words at a group of investors, and they might bite. I've seen it before, and couldn't believe it when I saw an investor cut a check for $1 million to the stupidest idea(of course he lost his money).

Even if this software worked perfectly, you still need performers to create new styles. They will never be able to recreate the vibe you get when seeing a live show. If they did, you'd have a computer that could pass the Turing test.
