This is a very rash generalization. Using your philosophy, we can just leave monetary policy in the hands of frauds who can track your every move, tell you what you should or shouldn't spend your money on and make sure that it's reported it to them properly, else they'll through you in jail.

This is your mindset. I see cash as expendable, and I'm hesitant to swipe a card knowing that I'll have to pay the bill later. Although if one has the mindset of the US government, maybe they don't mind swiping that card knowing full well they'll never pay it back.

Have you ever worked 16 hour days for 6 months straight only to be canned and have to move to San Francisco for another job only to rinse and repeat and end up back in So. Cal?

Have you ever been in a situation where if you took one of those sick days or vacation days, you'd get canned?

I have an idea that you're well beyond college age, but you need to realize that you likely haven't had the same experiences as the person you responded to so you shouldn't judge.

Every software company has won some and lost some...well not in the case of Ubuntu(You can't even beat Microsoft by giving it away) When Microsoft loses, they accept the loss and move forward having learned something from the previous defeat. If the menace(I'd prefer 'threatenor', but it's not a word, but should be.) were serious, they might take action regardless.

We don't know what the threat was. It could have been as harmless as 'I'm not showing up in your court'...'I'll leave the country if don't cut it out'...or as serious as 'I'm gonna kill you'. If it were the latter, I'm sure the news would have reported that because that's juicy. If it were the former, they would leave that out because clearly it's quite lame.

I believe this case is a usurpation by the judge. A judge has to be able to be criticized, else he can make erroneous decisions indefinitely. In this case, if Trudeau were to act...he'd just wait for the 30 day sentence to end. What's the point? If we had a just legal system they would have to watch Trudeau. If he acted, then he should be convicted of a crime.

Furthermore, how can he be convicted of a crime for other people's actions?
