having just been through Hurricane Charley, I can tell you first hand:
1) cell phones didn't work 2) land lines didn't work
The only think I could count on was being without A/C in 100 degree weather!
The only thing that would have worked would be satellite cell service. *6 second pause*.... and we all k-k-k-k-k-k-k-know how grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat that issssssssss!

Wal Mart will exist with any of the presidents. That was pretty lame.
And besides it doesn't matter who's winning we'll see when the old people vote in Florida:-)
BOOST and Exhaust Temp gauges are useful only in forced induction applications.
That's why your C5 didn't have it. It was naturally Aspirated.
There are many cars that have the boost/exhaust guages. Boost makes sure you don't have boost spikes and blow your engine. Exhaust temp makes sure you don't go over 1600 degrees and melt your pistons.
The underlying problem is still and will always be there- games based on movies tend to be promotional tie-ins first, games second.
Another huge problem being : time
These companies are usually given 6 months, give or take, to build an engine and game thats up to par. Rarely is this pulled off with a quality product.
And I wouldn't say just because this 1 movie-based game is acceptable/good, that the "curse" is broken. I have faith that someone else will waste time/money developing a movie-based game that rivals Daikatana;-)
it has more realistic physics than any other game out there. period. and that is what really matters. the rest of driving is pretty obvious. stay in your lane. obey street signs.
you're not going to find a game that has "check your mirrors, do a walk around of the car making sure all signals work, check your gauges, put on your seat belt...etc."
I believe its more of an explanation of why people don't like it. Not why they are wrong in their opinions.
Kinda like why some people don't like front wheel drive automobiles and some don't like rear wheel drive.
They're not saying rear wheel drive is what you should like and this is why. More like these are some common misconceptions of rear wheel drive and common mistakes when using it.
can you name something he did to reduce the salaries and jobs?
I don't think corporations can do much about supply and demand...
they want more money per unit so they adjust the supply (dump a bunch of at a cheaper price).
then the supply is down and the demand is down and the price is higher

or he gets the cable box for dirt cheap and the firewire card for $15 at wal mart and gets more flexibility ;)
I agree.
;-)
This reminds me of WASTE and Nullsoft/AOL.
It sounds like someone forgot to tell the legal department they were doing something special
your "BEST of everything" != my "BEST of everything"
that's the problem. it's a flaw (if you see it as a flaw) that's fundamental to the system.
slightly less illegal than stealing software, no?
They're outsourced tech support. I've dealt with them and currently have close to 250 workstations and servers that are Dell.
They're not good tech support.
I agree with you on the hardware prices but I agree with the parent of the thread that it's got more value.
You don't get the iApps with the Dell. Nor OS-X. Nor quality support.
You get XP Home and the rest is left up to you.
public means he can use it. not abuse it.
what if he was advertising religious denominations on the sidewalk? i'm sure we would be all up in hands about that.
it's not freedom of speech. period. that's vandalism with a political message.
so it belonged to the guy writing the messages?
it belonged to someone else. that's the point.
If it was your house, would you feel the same?
:-)
If so, I'm going to come over with my water soluble chalk and write pro-Bush slogans on it. I'll do it for free too!!
Except for the fact that the article even states that there were 7000 bugs fixed/closed for this release.

It used to be that console games didn't need updates or didn't need add-ons. Now they seem to be getting into the same arena as a PC.
And personally, I would feel ripped off if I bought the game and didn't get these addons because I had to sign up for X-box Live.
The gap between console and PC thins out a little more.
"if you're not certified, you can't have learned it" business principle.
:-P
maybe you should partake in an open source grammar book
are you offering to teach the man's son japanese too? ;-)

and yet still I see no recommendation?
closest to real life = what?

If you don't have your head in the ground, use this. It may be a racing game but the physics are extremely well thought out.
Kinda hard to miss honestly
