    2-step authentication from Google still requires a cell phone. For anyone who does not own a cell phone (such as myself), it is major hurdle to upgrading the security on my account.

    It is a shame google does not sell SecurID or similar key fobs for those who want security, but don't have a cell phone.

    It won't. You'll still be free to buy or not buy steam games for Linux.

    Just because some people charge money for closed source software that runs on a free operating system, that does not mean you are forced to use that software. It is only when you are forced to used closed software is your freedom impacted.

    Try using Windows 8 in a Virtual Machine. Moving the mouse into the lower left corner is impossible when doing so moves the mouse out of the vm window. Added bonus: My keyboard lacks a Windows Button.

    Lets just say it's more than a minor annoyance.

    I lump eBay sellers as small businesses... very small businesses with a very small inventory. :-P

    I too hate the Paypal only nature of eBay. These days if I want something off eBay (which is now rare, thanks to Paypal) I contact the seller and offer to mail them a check.

    I deleted my Paypal account six outrages ago.

    Every week I read about how some small business got burned by Paypal. However I have yet to encounter any business willing to drop Paypal and use the competition.

    Petitions and strongly worded blog posts will not change Paypal's behavior. Only thing that matters is lost business.

    The authorities need to at minimum wait until the suspect has acquired the explosives/poison/guns.

    Seems to me it would be far more effective for states to stop relying so much on sales tax and move to other areas of revenue such as property and income tax. In the event of a national sales tax, it won't be long before the federal government decides to keep the money and the states need to make up for the shortfall elsewhere anyway.

    Better to go to the polls, and vote third party or for yourself in as a write-in for every position, rather than not voting at all. You get the same effect, but send a message that proclaims "I am unhappy with the two-party system". Besides, if you don't vote, you have no right to complain.
