    Only special keys that are not given out to guests can trip open the deadbolt. What, you don't throw that when you're in a hotel room? What if the front desk screws up and gives someone else your room number and key?

    Short selling by itself is not an investment, it is just a gamble. Short selling as a hedging mechanism is investing and no one doing that with Tesla stock was hurt in any way.

    So, I assume there are strict regulations in place to enforce safe installation then, right?

    It's right there in the summary, never mind having to go to the article: " The proposed new rule would create a new process for regulating uses of asbestos"

    Yeah, who give a shit about things like peoples health or the environment we live in. Lets just do whatever the fuck we want!

    People's health? Asbestos is hands down the greatest fire retardant ever discovered; it's only cancer causing when breathed in shredded microfiber form. Banning it everywhere no matter what is wild overreaction. More asbestos installed safely would prevent fires and improve heath.

    M.2 modules don't come in 32TB yet. And 1/3 inch is not too thick in a slide-in design.

    This could be a real changer for data center deployments. There is not reason why we have the 2.5" form factor anymore.

    It could be a real changer for laptop design. Remove a little cover on the side and slide in (or out) one of these that fits in beneath the keyboard. What an excellent alternative for ultra thins compared to the nasty soldered in place things they use now to squeeze out space.

    I know it's not actually VR but I've just been playing Minecraft. Half an hour is the maximum I can put up with.

    Did you turn off the bobbing view during movement? Games like shooters and minecraft that have the wobble head movement makes me dizzy but turning that off lets me play them.

    This race to the bottom will only be stopped by Federal laws against special exemptions. Amazon is big enough without special perks thank you.

    I absolutely guarantee, right now without having to read it, that any such Federal law will be gotten around by the incredibly highly paid lawyers and accountants at big businesses all over the country.

    Funny how those "closely held corporations" aren't bound by the 3k per person limit that everyone else is. I have no problem with a small group of people pooling their money but they should have the same campaign limits as individuals. I would like it to go one step further and if someone gives money to a union, the NRA, etc... and that company donates on their behalf then it should count again their 3k limit as well.

    You, and closely held corporations, and PACs, are held to rather small limits ($3k, $5k) when donating directly to a candidate. There's no limit on you, or organizations, to run "this message was not endorsed by any candidate" ads. Feel free to spend as much as you like that way.

    In my opinion that is way too high operating expense to be considered non profit. I would personally clamp it to 15% max or you lose non-profit status. But mainly I feel this way because so many 'non profit charities' are pure scum, only in it to make money.

    The definition of a non profit is that there aren't any shareholders / owners who take a profit. But employees can still get whopping huge salaries. Just look at all the non profit hospitals whose administrators make millions and have corporate jets.

    New cars regardless of mileage emit so little that I don't get why the focus is simply on that one factor. Emissions should be the primary factor. And then there's the focus purely on cars when lawn mowers, leaf blowers, construction vehicles, etc, all spew out a lot more pollutants per minute than the hugest SUV or pickup truck.

    One would think automated delivery truck would be much easier; they go between some loading dock and some other loading dock, not random street corners. And deliveries are made in the early hours of the morning when there's much less traffic.

  22. About half of the reviews are for different products or different models all lumped together.

    I don't think it's half but for some products this is definitely a problem. Photography lighting stands come to mind; they range from 'barely able to hold themselves up' to 'hard core hurricane proof' and all the reviews are under the same base model. People buying the ultra cheap model are pissed that the reviews for the great models tricked them into getting junk.

    Camera lenses lumped together also really screw up some people since you have to pick 'for Canon' or 'for Nikon' and some people don't seem to be able to figure out how to do that.
