    not that ISIS has neighbor states, any more than US rednecks have neighbor states.

    what does that even mean? ISIS is in other peoples countries. Let them clean up the mess, they have motivation and they are right there. We are on the other side of the world and even our presidential candidates have no clue as to what is going on.

    That new federal law was opposed by the people that didn't vote for it .... like forcing people to engage in business with insurers whether they want to or not

    In the video released Wednesday night, Mr. Romney appears to share that view, at least as it relates to the Massachusetts plan.
    The individual mandate, he said, “is essential for bringing the health care costs down for everyone and getting everyone the health insurance they need.”

    George H.W. Bush put together a plan with an individual mandate, but left it on the shelf because there was no way it’d pass in a Democratic Congress.

    The best way to take out ISIS without many troops on the ground

    is to tell their neighbors to clean up the neighborhood. This isn't our fight, it's their fight.

    If we aren't killing people, what the hell is the point of war?

    war is nothing more than a spat between leaders who don't have the social skills to work out their differences, they force their citizens to participate.

    Another alternative would be hand-to-hand combat between the leaders themselves. It sounds grotesque but it's far more civilized than dragging the populations into it.

    They think that it is polluting the air more when in actuality the carbon in the smoke is a solid particle and gets precipitated out of the air quickly.

    the particles also lodge in people's lungs, causing a whole host of respiratory issues.

    in all fairness, getting off the mainframe is very VERY difficult, for a large number of reasons.

    you would expect that companies that do this for a living would understand this problem and bill appopriately

    She made a shitload of money.

    The skill set required to accumulate profits is not the same as the skill set for running a country.

    In business you can write off bad investments. In government you can't write off states and cities that are a financial drag.

    Where does the idea of "Keep the customer happy" fit in to this arrangement?

    This is HP here, they are intentionally pissing of customers and shedding them so that they can discontinue their unprofitable product lines.

    Either the float switch would trigger or massive metal temperature change would create mechanical disturbances in the box that would complete the circuit and trigger the bomb.

    Wow, have you ever heard of the marathon bombers? What about Timothy McBay? Between them they killed a lot of US citizens. If a foreign agent killed this many Americans on our soil we would start a war with them (or some other convenient country).

    They didn't go into full detail but a robust design would be to use two batteries, one in each box. Trigger the explosion if either battery is disconnected.

    How do you cut a hole in the box to pour it in?

    no duh, of course it's timed. the idea was to shut down the people who say "it looked like a bomb"

    introducing actual relevant facts into a discussion is perfectly appropriate
