From an Amnesty International press release: "Amnesty International does not adopt persons who are imprisoned for 'hate speech' as prisoners of conscience." In other words, speech should be free unless it skewers their particular sacred cow.
Free speech laws are unnecessary for those who agree with the government or who never offend. They will always have the right to say whatever they want. If a government claims to provide for a free society "except for" offensive speech, it is a fraud.
I got my copy from Amazon.com about a year ago but they have none available right now. It's possible to sign up as a buyer there and wait for a copy. It could potentially show up on eBay too. Code Rush was originally shown on PBS. It's only available on VHS as far as I know so don't just search for DVD.
Last year they promised a $100 rebate on a laptop computer. I circled the appropriate lines on the email receipt, filled out the form, printed everything out, made copies of the UPC codes and mailed everything in. They wrote back saying the store I bought it from didn't participate in the rebate, but I bought it from their own web site where the rebate was advertised!
Congratulations, Circuit City, you got my $100 but have lost all sales since then.

At the rate Usenet is dying, I might be out of a job in 100 years.
in vietnam they have no such compunction. they don't mind building things which work, for cheap, and not screwing their customers for every last penny they can..
There was an appeal in knowing that the other users were from your own town, but don't forget that the internet allows you to form new communities based on anything you like. Want to talk to people who collect and restore 19th century egg timers? There's probably a web site you can visit. In fact, nothing's preventing you from creating a site for your own town.
So that is violation #2! they do provide project files for a newer compiler but the real Miranda source supports either MSVC++ 6.0 or gcc (or both) this violation is important because they now lose their rights to distribute their lame third party modifications as binaries
Eh? Are they saying the GPL requires the new developer to preserve all existing parts of the project?
Let's say a project was created with a compiler from 1989 and someone adds a a new file in 2005. Is the new developer required to find a 1989 compiler so they can keep the old project file updated instead of just distributing the one from their 2005 compiler?
Is Bob Dylan trendy again or is he so untrendy that it's cool to like him? Or was he just cheap and available? They should have at least tried to get an 80's band.
Laputan Machine.
Overrated? It had the default score of 1. Great moderation.
Ted Turner promised a billion dollars to the UN and failed to deliver.
Ernst Zundel and David Irving are in jail for speech crimes and they've never called for violence against anyone.

It featured a geek with a girlfriend.
By the way, I recommend the DVD. It has one of the better commentaries.
An aide to the bill's author assures us it's not aimed at reporters
And the Patriot Act is only used against terrorists.

Can't wait to read about the first dead burglar.

80% of the items are fairly common knowledge but the other 20% are worth the price of the book.

There was almost no technical content and nothing dramatic happened. Code Rush and StartUp.com were more entertaining.

It's better than CBS's slogan: We report, you correct, we attack you for several weeks, we half retract.
I'd prefer "Hilton Hacker Hits Hoosgow"

Exactly what I was thinking--early Pink Floyd. I guess they knew what they were doing.
I'm disappointed with the lack of a 1337 speak chapter. How can I explain myself to my colleagues on IRC?
Good grief. From reading the comments, you'd think he just kicked everyone in the teeth. The guy is giving away a free book. Enjoy it.
For one, because so many are similar to this parody site.
