There are waaay too many commercials on regular radio, they play only the music that has the most sales potential and it's become completely censored. All the best radio personalities like Opie and Anthony are going to XM. I listened to the free trial and signedup after just a few hours. It's completely refreshing to hear the type of music I WANT to hear and to listen to talk radio that's actually funny and even... politically incorrect!
If it crashed, it may have been because of some inefficiencies in the way it stored headers. Recent betas use less than half the RAM as previous versions. Binary Boy Newsreader
Symantec said my purchase date was invalid even though I purchased the software through a link on their own site. Then after cutting bar codes off boxes, photocopying, printing out and filling out a form, printing out my confirmation email and mailing everything in, Circuit City said the store I bought from wasn't participating in the offer even though I ordered from the Circuit City web site. This is a HUGE scam. Let's kill the rebates and show the real prices.
There was a "hack a mac" contest in 1997. The challenge was to break in and modify a web page. Eventually someone named Starfire succeeded. The company fixed the site and renewed the challenge. Starfire broke in again and the company refused to pay the second time due to some sort of dispute.
Maybe Christian fundamentalists are just trying to be good liberals like those who protested The Passion of the Christ. Or the ones who are trying to oust the Harvard president for saying there are intrinsic difference between men and women.
I wonder what kind of things developers put in comments that would be so bad for the rest of us to see?"
From the article: See, in order for us to ship the code we need to "scrub" the comments and make sure there is nothing bad in there. No swear words, no bad jokes on the part of developers, no references to specfiic customers, no geo-political faux pas.
Back in the ancient days when football players looked like individual red dots, a friend and I played a videogame in school with pencil and paper.
Draw a river horizontally across a sheet of paper. Draw a bridge on the left and right sides. Each player draws a tank on his side. Take turns moving or shooting.
To move or shoot, put the point of your pencil on your tank, hold the pencil in place with your index finger on the eraser. Press down until the tip slips and draws line. Where the line ends is where your new position is or where your shell landed.
I hate when bugs are called "issues." Bugs are nasty and should have a nasty name. Renaming them is like trying to hide the problem instead of fixing it.
It appears Ed is getting a bit tired of really bad software designs in popular shareware titles.
The blog entry doesn't mention shareware.
New codename for Longhorn: XP SP3

You fund these lawsuits every time you buy a CD. Then they sue you, you settle and they sue even more people. Solution: stop buying CDs.
That's me!

archive.org is slow to begin with. Now it's going to die for sure.
...everyone should upload the browser back to the web site.
Looks like an interesting book. Glad to see the author got over his obsession with horse head bookends.
This technology *chomp* *chomp* is really *gulp* cool *slurp* Ahhhh and it's fairly *chomp* *chomp* accurate. *gulp*
I wish I could get a $2 check.

I'll bet it's a lot better than being typecast as a burger flipper.
I hope it doesn't crash.
P.S. It's not the same company that's running the competition today as far as I know.

Yes, that's right.

Give them another 5 years and they'll say VB.Net is outdated and that everyone should move to a new acronym soup.

The freedom of speech is not a freedom to be a shithead.
Then what's it for? We don't need it to protect people the government likes.
That giant robot that crushes cars at monster truck shows.
So simple my mom could do it.
