  1. Oh boy, the headaches. on MS Tells How to Delete Linux, Install NT or Win2K · · Score: 1

Don't you love it when fdisk /mbr DOESN'T work? I would like to see some linux newbie have a nervous breakdown over that one.

  2. Re:Lets just give everyone an AK-47 on Everything We've Heard About Columbine is Wrong? · · Score: 1

Oddly enough, I own an AK-47 and see no reason why I shouldn't. It is a great gun. What do I use it for you ask? Simple, stress relief and sport shooting (bottles, dishes, microwaves, various other nick-nacks that you can put on a private range...you get the idea). The point is, just because I have an AK-47 doesn't make me anymore or less of a dangerous person. I know the laws of this country and am not apt to breaking them. If the situation calls for the use of my AK, I will use it. If the situation dictates that it doesn't, you had better damn well believe that I am not going to jail over some petty situation that might force another "crazy" or "misunderstood" person to shoot someone. Then again, that's just my 2, 3, or 4 cents. Take your pick.

  4. Re:Misleading Benchmarks?? on Athlon Reviews · · Score: 1

I haven't looked, but if the Quake 2 benchmarks are in seconds, then lower is better. The typical method for determining Quake2/3 speed is in FPS (Frames per second). The idea is to run a demo and get the highest FPS (or least amount of seconds). Frames per second is an equation of how many seconds it takes to run the demo. The AMD Athlon wins in the Quake2 benchmarks.

  6. Honorary Doctorate on Linus To Recieve Honorary Doctorate · · Score: 3

At least they gave it to a deserving person such as Linux. On the other hand, at my graduation a few weeks ago, they gave Ted Turner an Honorary Law Degree from the University of Georgia. The guy sat and spoke about how we were going to die from nuclear attacks. It seems as though "honorary degrees" are being given out like mad lately. The more money you give = Honorary Doctorate?

I have had Starbuck up and running for about a week now. Nothing major to report other than some gtk problems. But nothing devastating like an rpm wipeout. Maybe you got a bad install? Enlightenment is running like a charm. Can't wait to see 6.0.

Wow, amazingly IE must be some super turbo app that is essential to the workings of an already slow OS.
