There was no question about being paid when you were on call because...it was the military. Then again, being on call was looked at basically as a punishment since it meant that you couldn't go anywhere that didn't have cell coverage, couldn't leave the immediate area, had to drop everything anytime some jackass couldn't get his VPN to work or forgot his password, etc. I've never taken a civilian job that required an on-call rotation, and I never will unless I'm paid accordingly.
The notion of 'on-call' in IT has become something that companies take for granted because if you won't do it for free, they can hire someone else who will. The time has come, my brothers, for us to end this outrage!
Are there any rules regarding the interviewing of multiple subjects at the same time? In a more private and quiet place of course, after studying their work habits for an indeterminate amount of time, naturally.
Did they really expect everyone to suddenly chill out and go find something else to do because of a twitter post? I find this line of reasoning difficult to comprehend...then again they are cops.
All the same stupid jokes, surveys and hoaxes are posted endlessly on all social networks. They each hook into the same Zynga games to keep the masses entertained... eventually it will be discovered that all the back-end data is identical and each network is simply a different interface to Skynet.
Sadly, by then it will be too late.
Is it possible that we just shot something 10 meters wide out of Earth orbit and forgot about it?
Uh hey Doc, what's that sound mean? Am I gonna.....uuurgggh.
I thought this was 2010. Where's my mind control? Fail.
How long would it take to grow some ribeye's in my backyard? Do you have to water them daily?
Therefore I am against it. Nothing but real dead animals on my plate will suffice.

So much for applying for tons of credit cards and not having to pay them off. I was planning to live out my last couple years like a King!
