    I couldn't agree more. I knew a guy who was a Mensa member and after a protracted attempt on his part to get me to join I finally went to a meeting.
    Maybe it was just that particular chapter but I got the distinct impression that they were a bunch of egotistical losers!

    The reason for physical separation is that if someone breaks into a machine on the DMZ without physical separation you have no further protection - they can just add an IP from your private block and do what they want...
    With physical separation (and a properly configured DMZ) they have a whole 'nother layer of firewalling to break through before they get to the good stuff.

    Most RLL controllers and quite a few SCSI controllers used that address as well.
    A few manufacturers had some completely different address but the ones I thought were really bizarre were the ones that started at C800:6

    They have parts but not complete units. There is, however, a fifteen-dollar replacement (new!) LCD screen listed which might do the trick.

    That's kind of interesting because McAfee recently bought DeerSoft which was the only commercial provider of SpamAssassin I could find recently when our corporate powers-that-be mandated that while we would have a spam filter and that it would not be open-source.
    Think I could get an "official" statement from MiraPoint that it uses SpamAssassin? We'd rather not wait for McAfee to get their act together...

    I just looked around on Mirapoint's site and I can't find any reference to SpamAssassin. Where did you hear that's what they use? Or did I misunderstand the post?

    I don't have an answer for the specific question (I find reality WAY more fun than any game I've ever played - and I have tried most of them! :).

    But I do have to wonder why his wife is going to visit her mother for that long!
    In the movies that's always a sure sign of a divorce in the next scene... :(

    I've worked every position from bench tech to CIO with sales and marketing along the way, (don't ask, I've had an interesting career). and lemme tell you, many technical people would do much better if they could only recognise that when people's eyes glaze over it's time to find a different way of explaining something! :)
