    I've always wondered why in-wheel motors haven't taken over yet.

    There was nice example of in-wheel motor in Amsterdam science museum.

    Imagine of the possibilities of such systems - you have minimized rotating mass (no cardan, no differentials), you can throw out half of the hydraulics (brakes are electric with emergency resistor in the wheel), you could even assist steering by spinning each wheel at different speed.

    And 4x4 setup would be as advanced as specialized offroad vehicles (diff lock is just software, as custom torque distribution without any hydraulics).

    Passwords are one of the worst for security, as they don't change, so seeing/stealing your password once grants you access.

    Implanted RSA chip with physical button for authentication is best.

    You can actually run external notifications script from skype and tie that into zenity or gnome-notify (Notifications -> Extended):

    /home/atis/.Skype/notify.sh "%type" "%sskype" "%sname" "%smessage" "%type" "%sname" "%fname" "%fpath" "%smessage" "%fsize" "%sskype"

    Doesn't work correctly for group chats however.

    Delaying parts manufacturers for some "a bit better tech" and then stuffing/selling their own product with that.

    Probably because hardware serial number changed. Replacing battery would change serial and OS license numbers.

    It's connection information reveals response to TFA. Such resolutions with meaningful refresh rate means at least 3 DVI connectors. You basically can't push more data through wires.

    They don't need to be zero-defect, as you won't be able to see defects unless they are over some threshold.
    When LCDs first appeared, it was considered normal to have up to 3 or 5 bad pixels from factory.

    You were lucky. I've been interrogated when leaving Ukraine for more than hour, just because I was foreigner and they didn't believe of where I am ( I spoke pretty good Russian). Pointless questions - how to say some words in my born language (they had answers from neighbour country, and wanted me to guess that)
