The people who buy the truste certs. Chances are they will reduce the response rate due to the ease of filtration. How ironic. Yet Another Vendor Who Sells Lots of Expensive Nothing (TAVWSLEN) (tm).
Actually, AFAIK, Intel is working towards asynchronous chip design. There is a quote by an intel spokesman saying that if another company had a completely asynchronous chip designed which could function at somewhat the rate of their later chips, Intel would be toast. In fact, the P4 is a move towards asynchronous design - IIRC, some parts of it are, or its a design which will be more usable in an asynchronous fashion.
*sigh* There is truth to both your comment and the one below... I say this as an english speaker myself (as well as french), but I kind of feel bad that english is taking away other people's cultures slowly but surely.
Why not just have a really scaled-back HTML renderer that ignores tags that you choose to ignore?
A nice start, but I have an even better idea. Why not ignore all tags you have not specifically chosen to pay attention to? As much as I hate HTML email, it is a compromise. For instance, it could allow only formatting, link, and image tags, and that's it. Sounds simple enough to implement...
And I'm dead serious about this one. A potential reason they may want this is to increase productivity of people at work. Don't laugh, I'm not joking. Now, as to the implementation or whether it should be implemented... that's a different story.
Notice the corelation? Silly design move. If they had more ram (so cheap right now too) it wouldn't have to access the HDD as often. Thus, the battery would last longer. Oh well...
Quite possibly, I suspect that this a(n) (ab)use of the so called supply and demand laws. If you reduce the supply artifically, people are willing to pay more.
Has it occured to you that the accuracy of current comptuers may be equal or the same? That is being measured on _billions_ of operations... Also, unless you have ECC ram, and even then sometimes, you can get corruption from magic rays that come from space (I'm serious). So, perhaps its just a better idea to check calculations. Or do them all two or three times. Or something.:)
I'm dent on Open Projects, and I'm the one who has been the manager for the conversion project.
The conversion has gone mostly smoothly this time - service was only down on each server for about 5 seconds. The database has been converted including the access lists for channels, which we did not do last time (yes, when the ircd was coring...).
If you are a channel founder who changed the default LEVELS in the old services (which has now been renamed LEVEL), your access lists were converted - but everyone's access level was set to 0 as the new services uses a different trust metric system.
Please also note that the auto-expire functions in services actually work now:). Be sure to identify to your nick/channel at least once a month, or your nick/channel will be dropped.
If you are a founder and find yourself unable to change the access levels, you may find "/msg chanserv identify #channel yourpasswordhere" will do the trick for you. If not, drop by #conversion and we will be happy to help you.
I'd like to thanks lots of people for help with this project, its been great working with everyone. Not in any particular order, asuffield, jeremy, MysticOne, robster, cdlu, andy, Acapnotic, lilo, netgod, Teknix, John, crystalize, Matt, DanielS, ElectricElf, InnerFIRE, dark, draco, drow, matthewg, peidran, and someone else on #python who helped me with the db conversion who I feel horrible for forgetting their nick, please remind me if you read this:). If I have forgotten anyone else, which I am sure I have, my appologies, please do remind me - its not that I didn't appreciate.
I hope you enjoy this new network code - it has been almost 2 years in the making.

Of course digital photos don't endanger history. See, history tends to be the stuff that has already happened? And well, hate to break the news to you, but... you can't change history. So therefore, nothing will EVER endanger history - that is until we invent a time machine;).
the reason she probably dosen't remember hearing it is because she would have been and would still be in shock. your memory goes when you are in shock for your own protection.
Are you saying you dont find google usefull? Maybe what you should be saying is that google and other search engines should cooperate, but that is different. As for banner ads, well, DIE!
Look at it.. spam is there to perform a "function", to get you to buy stuff or whatever. Well DeCSS is a function in just the same way. If Spam is protected free speech, DeCSS should be too;).
Deep freeze. Its a great program. It used to be that our lab machines lasted about a week before being totally trashed. I haven't had a single machine trashed with this installed. What it does is reset any changes made to the system when you hit reset, unless a password had been entered on boot. This also has the advantage of gaurding against viruses, and its rather transparent too. www.deepfreezecanada.com or www.deepfreezeusa.com or www.winselect.com.

psst. I'm Canadian. :)
Well duh... sorry, that sounds rather america-centric. Do you really expect everyone else to learn english so you don't have to learn anything else?
Gee, this sounds an awful lot like how different processes can not access each other, and how "chmod 600" works... hmm....

I wonder if it has something to do with how thin my monitor is... now wait a second, does this work on LCDs? :) Oh, maybe thats why...
even funnier?
:)
Someone said they wouldn't because they would just have to downgrade again for a fixed bug. hmm...

Funny you say that because thats *exactly* what I was thinking at the time. Hey, if I run 2.5.0, I can tell people I'm running the 2.5 branch. Heh.

bah! Its a different story! Xbox, X-box...

That reminds me of a new feature. Set umode +I (note the capitalization) and you will not receive invites. Nice huh?
