I read DTCA when it was proposed and what concerned me most was it allows government to take control of your inventions and patents whilst turning encryption into a controlled munition.
We are about on the verge of a government housecleaning here in the US
You're joking, right? A 95% reelection rate is hardly what anyone would call a "housecleaning". The US needs a house razing. Every two years another opportunity goes by, and nothing happens.
The problem is the US law which lets them do this with impunity...
Well, that's not going to change in the foreseeable future until the incumbent parties are voted out, so the next best thing is to hop around, do what we can
Well jeeze, you don't have to go all *cough* ballistic!
Of course you're right though. NASA is aeronautics and space after all. There's no reason not to combine the two for this. The flight takes less time than waiting for your bags and clearing customs, anywhere in the world. And the kids would find take off really exciting. One thing that's absolutely required is big windows
You most certainly can! Prenuptials and wills are changed all the time. We have eminent domain. And we have to work on the judges that would hear such cases also. We have the power, but have learned to feel helpless. If we don't fix it, nobody will.
Sanders and Hillary don't even hold a candle to him. He's the best carny in the show by far. And your righteous indignation along with that wild imagination is quite an amusing spectacle. I like how you caricaturize mass media input in all your lecturing to those at your feet.
You don't get it. All those people, muni, state, whatever, who make the rules are elected officials. People have the power to vote them out, but they freely and expediently and irrationally choose not to. So if there is a problem with your internet, you have to go to the root cause instead of trying to pass blame.
So, you elect people that will eliminate exclusive contracts.. That way Time Warner and Comcast will have to face some competition. What part of that did you not understand?
It's very interesting that Bernie is continuing on, as he's not dependent on the donor class.
The party wants him to keep running. It keeps the focus from drifting to alternative candidates. He's a sheepdog, corralling a ton of 'lefty' money into the coffers that goes to Hillary when he does drop out, but he's in it until the convention as long as he can keep party cash registers full.
It's called an ISP

Did it ever occur to you that maybe people like tyranny? How else could there be so much of it?
Eventually it might, but here you are
Grandpappy called it concentratin', real hard

Oh, I thought this about uploading videos.
Can't we just promote the alternatives?
It takes that long to pull the plug?
Mindfulness
Scary buzzwords give me the creeps!
What 'topic'? You brought nothing to discuss.
you can't retroactively change a contract
You most certainly can! Prenuptials and wills are changed all the time. We have eminent domain. And we have to work on the judges that would hear such cases also. We have the power, but have learned to feel helpless. If we don't fix it, nobody will.
You serve the empire well.
Ah, nothing like sweet pedantry to finish off the charade...
Silly me!
Yes... very
You're funny, man. You just make shit up...

Just stay out of the way, problem solved
prevent violently crazy people from being out and about.
Whaddya talkin' about? You're about to elect one president! After 15 years of careful cultivation, violent and crazy is the new normal

But not impossible.. And you can shape your districts with a referendum on the ballot. It all depends on how much you want it.
