    Until we learn how to make the internet peer to peer, there will be no 'privacy'. I don't know why that's so difficult to understand and/or accept.

    I agree that people should think before they vote, but the European Commission is not an elected body

    The voters are supposed to hold it accountable to the European Parliament, which is directly elected by EU citizens. And if that doesn't help, people can vote their country out of the EU. Everything boils down to the voters' actions.

    Now they have to seek out software that cannot fall under such jurisdiction. There are plenty of alternatives.

    And really, if you don't want these laws on the books, you should be more careful who you vote for. All these problems are needlessly chronic and self inflicted.

    Viable alternatives to Huawei on operator level are really either NSN or Ericsson. Both are EU based manufacturers

  24. Chrome is a Google app. I'll let you draw your own conclusions about what they pass to Facebook, as a *Professional Courtesy* of course! Then there's your service provider, who usually doesn't charge Facebook against your data quotas. There has to be a reason why. The only safe thing to assume is that you're on a party line, and just like in old time Soviet Union, the cops are listening.
