    As long as you can be blocked based on location, it's no damn good. We have to tear down the borders to make it work the way the internet is supposed to work, wide open worldwide, otherwise just stick with torrents to get what you want when you want it.

    This is exactly the sort of crime that the government should be able to solve...

    They can, but they can't... Too many of their own people would be swept up in the net. Though mostly practiced by the new kids and small fries, this goes all the way up to the top.

They may have more than two parties, but they play it the same way as the Americans, The link between corporate and government is not so overt, but it actually is a stronger, strong enough to influence American policy

    You find comfort in your faith (when all about you are losing theirs). I never would expect to you to accept any contradiction to your upbringing as 'superior'. That just won't happen. All challenges will be demolished!

    There is no 'inferior' or 'superior'. There is only fact and fiction. Which do you prefer, the fiction of wishful thinking and longing for a past that exists only 19th century novels, or the facts of the here and now and ensuring your children will be better off than you are?

    But we do have multicast. A site should just be able to 'broadcast' its signal that way, and anybody, or everybody can 'tune in'.

    If you want to find the source, you need to find the profit center. This stuff isn't being done for free. A real investigation will lead to a place that most people will find most unappealing.

    And we don't want ISPs filtering anything. It only provides pretext for filtering everything. They are supposed to be a dumb pipe. Let the end points do the filtering.

    I just hope it happens. Discrimination based of location of birth is just as bad as gender, or any other kind of discrimination. We all have a natural right to migrate where we want.     :-) Sure there is. It's just that your descriptions are highly distorted by cultural lensing, making the object unrecognizable. Like everyone else in the business, you create your deity in your image, hardly what anyone would call 'objective', if that word is to have any meaning.
