The evils of copyright law are well documented and understood. It has destroyed whatever good intentions there may have been in the original concept. And now it is obvious what will always come of it, censorship and sanction. Why should anything contrary to the facts ever be modded up?
Screwing the public is the very essence of our culture. Fairness and justice? And mercy?? Perish the thought! Pleasure must be carefully regulated and rationed. That's how you create a market and high demand.
Everybody does profit from the works of others. We all share profit. Copyright is a public liability, not an asset. It impedes communication and knowledge for the advantage of a few, because ignorance is power!
Well, if this is from the North Koreans, they definitely got the last laugh from the panicky reaction. They got the money shot they were looking for, and *all you had to do was, act naturally*. Award winning material was provided by all. Thank you all very much, ladies and gentlemen, the check is in the mail. Don't call us, we'll call you.
Ah, but the real comedy is the reaction to the threats. Worth every penny. And now that we know these kind of threats actually work, we should see some regular old extortion and blackmail pretty soon. Sounds like a real money maker, better than real estate.
I would venture to say the movie does not exist! And finally, movie critics have an effective way of keeping crappy movies out of the theaters. Let's watch how DVD sales go. It will be very short, like a.. uh... spurt... and then you want a cigarette.
For even less evidence can you say 'Afghanistan'? Nothing was ever proven there either. It was all one sided hearsay. More yellow journalism and government lies, partying like was 1898. I'm wearing asbestos. so go nuts!
There isn't any. 'Cross License' is the euphemism for collusion. Patent holders should not be allowed to prohibit competitors from using their inventions, or to deny a license. They can still collect their royalties for the duration, but a license must be granted to anyone that can pay the percentage, without question, or even permission. Same goes for copyright. This is the only way mitigate some the inherent corruption built into the patent/copyright system until it can be abolished completely.
If they want to and can't, they will just drop the packet. They can very easily block anything that is not in plain text. There goes your 'dark net'. And with their state protected monopolies there is nowhere for you to go until you can roll your own.
Scarcity raises the praise. The soap opera is also helping. There's also longer term marketing, for sequels. It gives the movie life! A plot that you can't escape. Soon all your entertainment will go this way. And just before you die... commercial break!
Nobody knows who is making 'threats'. I see no reason to give any money to Sony. They are hardly a bastion of free speech. As far as I'm concerned the whole thing is a scam, though the new Bond flick could be okay. Eh, maybe Sony might get my money after all, and I am amused by your Hollywood Tough Guy talk:-)

The 'noble' intentions of copyright are irrelevant. The law is being used as very effective weapon of censorship. That is its intention.

Eh, sometimes the magic works. Don't spend it all at once :-)
You mean you didn't get your $1.99 credit voucher(void where prohibited by law. not valid with other promotions)? I'd sue if I were you
Baby's on fire... Better throw her in the water
the FBI has officially concluded that the North Korean government is behind the attack.
Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, you'll have to trust us on this, just like with that other big thing 13 years ago.
Of course the slogan writers would have proof readers...
They got the numbers. It wouldn't take much of a push. These two are a gift! Bigger than a Reagan revival
Remember, to the coward and the timid, they look like heroes, taking action!
The slogan is unbeatable: 'I would do it again in it a minute' That is exactly what people want to hear.
The REAL Team America!
Cheney/Nugent 2016!

Just like with Afghanistan, somebody has an itchy trigger finger..
What is the difference here?

And don't forget, with the old wars winding down, we might get another one out of the deal. win-win!
Cheney/Nugent 2016!
...this absurdly racist movie...
Wow! You've seen it?!

Piracy will just go to dark nets...
Yeah yeah yeah. You keep forgetting who owns the wire.
I'd rather see DNS go away. It's too centralized and easy to control, kind of an anathema to what the internet should be.
...but now I'm going to go see it anyway. You should really encourage all of your friends to do the same.
Getting to sound like a good PR campaign now.. It'll probably still flop. It sounds like a real stinker.
