    Unless it's public, "sensitive" information or not, it's a kangaroo court. We allow too much secrecy in the system.

    You're not getting it. Just because people are using their numbers for appraisal, it doesn't turn Zillow into one. They have to advertise themselves as such, and chances are they have a disclaimer stating exactly the opposite. The case should be thrown out with prejudice.

    And what exactly led you to believe the claims that Zestimate is an appraisal? And besides, the header here says "Nobody believes the Zestimates", so what is the problem?

    Does Zestimate offer appraisals as such? (look for a disclaimer) Does the tax man use their service? If not, the case has no legs, unless the judge decides differently.

    Exactly! Just like in transportation, energy, and other forms of communications. And aren't we the ones that vote for the 'regulators'? Don't blame Google for winning. Look to yourselves to vote for open markets. Vote the captured regulators out.

    Just gas them once they're seated. Or save even more money by simply depressurizing the aircraft while at altitude.

  15. Yeah, this is actually kinda funny. I suppose it's too late to short your airline stocks though. I guess there's enough domestic business to keep them afloat.

    I hope there would be significant economic fallout from this, but given the history of such things, I don't really expect much reaction at all.

    Maybe the airlines can build tablets into the seat backs.

    I don't know. Netscape maybe? It's still around, but it doesn't get much press these days. But if stability is what you're after, look no further.
