Amazon knew that Apple used the "App Store" name and also knew that they could not lay claim to that generic phrase. Apple sued them when Amazon used it and now Amazon responds saying the word is too generic now the decision rests in the judges hands.
The only thing I am hyped about is a faster transition to 4G. AT&T's network is crippled in major cities, with 4G and 3G network speeds should increase over time with the load being split across both spectrum's given people move to 4G. There are good things and bad things, I don't think AT&T will hike rates because they are still competing with other carriers just not GSM carriers in the US.
Apple didn't really add anything different in the iPad 2 that other competitors didn't already have. However it was thinner and cheaper than the Galaxy Tab. But, I would pay more for more features if the Tab has them.
Yeah I find it weird that they can still sell them from the shelves but not bring any more into the country. Now will they stop consumers from purchasing PlayStations over the internet and having them shipped overseas? Or are they only stopping shipments directly from Sony.
I have frontier DSL with only 3mb down and 1.5 at night... It is horrid sometimes I can only get 1 bar of quality from Netflix and this is their highest plan in my area even though I am right next to fiber lines to Purdue University. Frontier needs to wake up and build a better network IMO. Also Verizon shouldn't have sold out.
Never thought of that, With the new gesture being system wide it may offer the same escape from a frozen app just like the button. However how does this work when you are zooming out of a map on Google earth? Will it close the app?
I do not think that Apple will remove a signature button from their iOS device lineup. The button also serves other uses such as a DRM or Hard reset on the device as well as other diagnostic functions besides just returning to the home screen.
This is sad, he had a bright future. I wonder what was bothering him enough to commit suicide assuming thats what actually happened.
Just ask Blendtec, Will it Blend? LOL http://www.youtube.com/user/Blendtec Love these videos
That 250GB bandwidth cap sure makes me fuzzy ;)
The program was actually launched a while ago, for some reason websites felt the need to revisit it.
Boiler UP!
Picard says: Make it so....
I'll admit, this shocked me.
Don't worry I am following you, and that is all you need.

I guess the Russians spend their money on better satellites while we spend all of our money on other countries wars.
I see what you did there

Doesn't the Comcast Xfinity App do this?

I miss Stargate :(
They have the Apple logo, iOS logo, iPhone, and Macbook. Why does apple get so many special Slashdot icons?
Meanwhile, Microsoft gets a dated sci-fi reference attached to a dated image of a guy who doesn't work there anymore.
So should it be that of a sweaty bald guy?
Google Vs. Apple, FIGHT!

I never thought they'd ditch the iconic "scroll wheel" which had been a signature design feature since the very first iPod...

That is possible it just seems awkward that they would make that move and confuse their user base.
