I wouldn't bet that. See, as long as the device ships and sells with a Microsoft product, I'm sure that company doesn't care and does sell it as a win.
It feels more like they are trying to kill ARM at an OEM level: "It's too expensive with Windows and no one wants it without"... Of course, that thought is nonsense...but have you seen reason and sanity at work lately there?
...what idiot did upload their stuff to MegaUpload and did not keep an offline backup/original?
I mean, I might be heavily influenced, given that I'm...uuhhh...obsessed with keeping *all* data (executing rm hurts...) and keeping it safe and sound...
Isn't this what capitalism is about, the consumers choose based on price, quality, features etc...
In a perfect world...in the real world, people buy stuff because they watched an awesome advertisement, or got it stuffed down their throats, or because it is so shiny.
Hello there. Thanks for answering and just to make sure, I did not mean to insult you, but rather those people jumping at every picture they find somewhere around the internet. I sure hope this is true, but hell, we're on the internet...
Wait, so Phoronix has a screenshot from *someone* which shows an e-mail from Newell...and this is "evidence"?! What the hell is wrong with the Internet?!
For those snarky folks who say "don't buy it", that doesn't work in practice. That requires a like-for-like alternative to exist which does not have the encumbrances of UEFI locks.
To add a snarky comment, *not having one* should always be an alternative.
How about, and that's and absolutely dumb idea...we just give people little cards in business-card size and they write down their medications there? You put it in your pocket or in your wallet and bam, you don't need in iPhone.
Monetize that, so you get to pay for noscript, adblock plus, etc. I'm thinking this is not going to turn out well.
That's a little dramatic, isn't it? I mean, to really realize that, they'd have to lock down Firefox so that inly accepts AddOns from their store...and, yeah, we all disagree with them lately, but that's just too stupid.
Yeah! Totally right! We need to end that freaking military occupation of land which rightfully belongs to the Native Americans!

Welcome to the world of AdBlock! Or alternatively, Userstyles or Greasemonkey...whatever floats your boat.
"Here, we built a new dining room for all lawyers...don't mind that lever at the entrance and that the floor is one big retracting bridge..."

As much as I agree with you...could you please stop YELLING the name...it's Linux...it's a name, not an acronym...thank you.
So our questions is: Please, Dear Authors of Duqu (whoever they are), hand over the source code of Duqu (or Beacon/NYT), as it contains GPL code.
Disclaimer: This post is for fun, don’t take it too seriously, but the questions are still valid.
You're aware that *everyone* can register a .com domain?
Where have you been the last 10-20 years?
microsoft.corn ... I think I just found a market niche!

I see people mention "It will then be the year of Linux".
Just don't listen, those are mostly idiots or trolls.
Stop whining about Unity, start using something else...now get off my lawn!
Second, Windows is unlikely to cause physical harm on its own.
Do I need to dig out that story where a Windows Server (crashed after running for 49 days) took down the Californian Flight Control System?
Care to explain?

I use Gentoo with clang (instead of GCC) and go OUT OF MY WAY to avoid the GPL ...
I *bet* that you didn't know until a day ago what Clang actually is!
Oh really?
Care to explain?
"We are told that the browser will let Xbox users surf all parts of the web straight from their living rooms."
I already do that, it's called "PC" and stands in my living room right besides the television...yes, I know you only quoted that part.
