So? Don't buy an Android device then, if you did not know that beforehand, send it back. If you just figure that out after months...well, go figure.
You know, you're not exactly forced to use an Android device (no I won't accept corporate stuff as excuse), you can buy a simple not-so-smart-phone...or a Windows phone *snickers*.
And yet, I'm betting that the 1995 machine boots faster than the 2012 machine...
That depends on the OS and hardware. Linux+SSD is 4 seconds to GDM (don't you dare say something!). Though, the Windows XP on the 2TB Western Digital is also fast with around 20 seconds to Desktop...there's only Steam installed, though.
Everytime I hear somebody talking about emacs/vi I think to myself: "I have to learn that finally". Though, I always say that about Dwarf Fortress and Nethack, too.
...the Federal Government should stop worrying about this issue, and focus on other areas where platform choice can make a real difference. Allowing users to install their own web browser...
So the author of TFA suggest to stop worrying about such things as interoperability and longevity of Federal Documents and just go with MS Office, and instead worry about the real issues...like Webbrowsers...
If they're gonna move live fully armed nukes they'll strap them to a bomber...
AFAIK, they're not even armed if strapped to a plane which is flying into mission, the detonator is only placed in the bomb (and the bomb therefor armed) the moment it's going to be dropped.
We've supported the "industry" for our whole lifes, and put some weak and slimy politicians into the government which have their background and friends in that said "industry"...what did you expect to happen?
The problem with all these great 3D ideas are: In the end, that 3D-whatever-you-call-it will be mapped to a 2D-plane (known as screen). That renders many approaches useless. But, f.e., with headtracking those things become interesting, if I can peak behind windows and stuff.

You haven't been to Youtube in a while, have you?

'nuff said.
Yeah, because YouTube-Users which are using After Effects actually bought it. *rolls.eyes*
Yeah, I also failed to find out if it was on private property or not.
And if I dress like a hawk and eat the pigeon sitting on a tree?
Arm, it might be a little bit illegal to fly over private property if the sole purpose is to monitor said private property.

Sure, do you have a 120 bucks for me?
Or you could use mkpasswd.
Other great civilizations have done this and it always leads to ruin.

Does that thing fly? And if yes, how are it's flight characteristics?
And you think they care? Isn't that a naive thought? I mean, seeing what Sony, Microsoft and all the others got away with and such...

That completely depends on what your work is.
There's an app for that, too!
Who said the FBI operated on foreign soil?
Maybe we should stop pissing off people by trying to take over their countries?
Yeah, stop to piss off people! Stop hailing the wrong god you insensitive clod!
First, it's not a hack. Second, you can only *guess* at what region the client is looking, not where the client is.
Comic Sans was made for MS Bob, if anyone forgot
So *that's* where all the hatred comes from.

Shut up you fool! Don't give them ideas!
