I have the same problem with google.com, CPU usage suddenly hits 100% for a few seconds. But that only happens on my Natty machine, and even only under my user account...which leads me to believe that it is a configuration problem, because it also happens with all plugins/addons disabled.
The problem with patent trolls is, that they're similar but quite different from internet trolls:
* Internet Trolls: They want your attention, to harass you and that you get angry. They achieve this by posting/writing nonsense, half-truths and lies anywhere into the internet. Solution: Ignore them, they might shout louder, but you can still ignore them.
* Patent Tolls: They want your money. They utilize a broken patent system and the courts. Solution: Burn them with fire. Hint: Ignoring them might result in you getting sued and you might lose everything.
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I think HAL tried to be sarcastic. There are many big companies and even politician which would try to tell us such a nonsense to support their decision, just think of the following statements: "Torrent is only used to copy music", "We need to stay open and compatible in the future, we're going with Microsoft" or my personal favorite "Nobody uses Linux".
You missed that on all those Frames is either iOS or Windows installed because the Software to show the jpegs is only available on that OS and it was "the cheapest offer"TM.
For example, an infrared emitter could be located in areas where picture or video capture is prohibited, and the emitter could generate infrared signals with encoded data that includes commands to disable the recording functions of devices.
I thought we agreed that DRM [on the client side] is broken by design?
Unfortunately it's not Oh-Kay considering the U.S. Patent Law. Of course, the question is if implementations will be made by people in the U.S. and if Microsoft hodls any patents at all related to the protocol.
Ohhh...but that's how it works. People find a piece of land which belongs to no one, starts clubbing each other at the head and the last man standing owns it. That even works with land which is already owned by someone else, look at Northern Cyprus, Israel or the extreme example: Nothern America.
They also never claimed the moon...they claimed some *rocks* from it which *they* brought back. If you find a nice shell at the beach in your holidays and you take it home, you would also be pissed if your neighbor wants it and starts arguing "it's from the ocean, the ocean belongs to no one so I should also be allowed to have it".
Oil which lies miles underneath the floor of the ocean does also belong to no one...yet we need to pay BP and other companies for it because they tell us "we own it, you pay it"...why's that?
The U.S. has used a very big amount of resources (money, material and human) to get to the moon, and they brought something back and of course they want to keep it, because they've earned it.
Oh damn...that would be so damn cool to see that giant fall. I mean, my job wouldn't be worth a nickel after that moment, but hey, that's totally worth it for me.
I've tried that, unfortunately without luck. But thanks anyway.

That is, if he/she is even sitting in the U.S. .
They probably were...but the bastard slipped through the intertubes!

They wont. ...and Valve of course still wants to be able to sell the engine for commercial usage.
That does not exclude each other.
You're right, the problem is that people (read: IT-Stuff) trusts an OS which trusts random USB-Sticks OR are too dumb to configure it correct.
You mean the evil capitalists in Redmond?
Well, the blog has Google Ads on it...any further questions?
Updated at 12 midnight. Microsoft has bought Skype for $8.5 billion, in an all-cash deal.
Did you even look at the link I provided? It's the Slashdot article about how Microsoft bought Skype.

So, it will be able to do cool songs, soon?
No, he meant Microsoft.

...is this (linked) site? But irony has it that it is not trustworthy.
...to find the five worlds in a Klemperer Rosette and see how far they've made it so far.
How often do I have to tell you? Put your pants bag on!
I read that in the first moment as "Our Benefactors". 8)
