I just set up emby on a centos 7 VM, my media is on a 4TB HDD attached to the server. It was easy, it took me longer to figure out that iptables was taken out of centos 7 than it took to set up emby.
So far I like firewalld better than iptables.
You have to force the complete shutdown to mount the windows partitions in Linux, the shared data partition is formatted in NTFS for use in Windows and Linux. So even to read the partition you have to force the complete shutdown. I don't always have it mounted, but I keep my movies and music on there so I can have easy access from both, so it can be a problem when I forget because I lose the time to shutdown Linux boot back to windows, force the complete shutdown and then boot back into Linux.
I was referring more to the fact that the AC said not even temporarily, it very much can. I agree that technically it is not burn in, but it looks like it and searching "LCD burn in" will give you the most results on how to get rid of it faster. Plus on the off chance it is permanent, not probable but not impossible, then it's burn in.
About #4, LCD's most certainly do have burn in. For whatever reason one day when I closed the lid to my laptop the monitor didn't shut off, 2 days later when I opened it again the image that was on the screen had been burned in. Granted it quickly (within a couple of hours) fixed itself with normal usage, it still happened. I believed as you did that LCD's don't burn in, but do some research on it and you will find that it does happen and is almost never permanent.
I did not affect my linux partitions when I upgraded form 7, grub was still there and everything was fine. It's not bad, it functions fine, but I regret upgrading. Windows 7 was much faster to boot and be usable and I didn't have to worry about making sure that I did a complete shutdown "shutdown/f something something i forget(I made a batch script for it)" to make sure I could access the shared data storage partition in linux. That is how they get those fast boot times, it doesn't completely shut down. Booting back into Windows after the complete shutdown takes fucking forever, and then you still have to wait for it to load all the other bullshit before it's usable. IMO stay with Windows 7 unless you have needs that only 10 can cover.
As the person making the claim that your "personal identifying information" doesn't leave Apple, it is your responsibility to prove that point. The AC just asked how you know, if you don't know you can't make the claim. If you do know, then please share that information with us.
I'm sure I could legally work in the EU, but I'm not looking to relocate and IT Security is what I want to do, but my experience is in Cisco Voice. Doesn't look too promising.
The term POTUS may sound "like a moldy potato" but it is the official acronym, it's better than some of the others VPOTUS (Vice President), FLOTUS (First Lady), SLOTUS (Second Lady). These are acronym's POTUS = President of the United States, not abbreviations
You are wrong, I am working on a government contract, there is no overtime for any of us on this contract. We all work 12 hour shifts in a 3-4-4-3 schedule, I would love to get overtime pay.
Chainfire has a new app CF.lumen (at work play store is blocked so no link) it's his replacement for the old app. I think it only works in KitKat and above though, can confirm it works on Lolipop.
I am also a former military person (Army, 14yrs) I can say that it very much depends on the individual. I have seen people that I wouldn't hire to take out the trash, and on the other hand I have seen people that could, and have, walked in to very nice jobs when they get out. Just because someone was in the military doesn't mean anything. Some of the best, and worst, IT personnel that I have worked for have been in the military. All the comments about military personnel "needing a manual" to get things done, at my current workplace I have heard more "this isn't my job" bullshit from the people that never served. My take on it is, it needs to get done so figure it out and get it done. I might not act in the way some veterans act, but counting us all out because of some duds seems like you are missing out.
I can't speak for the pentagon, but none of the computers I have used that require a CAC for log on log you out or lock the computer when the CAC is removed.
You never worked in Iraq then, because it was common usage to use personal and government flash drives on government computers during that time. Personal flash drives were not prefered, however they were still used by many indivisuals, myself included. Now they are banned by the local IT policy, as far as DOD or DA policy I don't know what the current policy is. The problem is that a flash drive that was not supposed to be on the classified network, was used on a classified machine and you know the rest.
Personal computer are not allowed on government networks, and you will get caught installing unauthorized software on a government computer. There are plenty of other internet options in the desert though.

1998 and 2001 are not in the past decade, just FYI
I have never seen a S-6 shop that didnt have at least local admin rights to the computers they were responsible for.
