that broke the internet's back for me. I've already ordered DSL service to replace my current Comcast connection. As soon as it is up and running I'm taking both my cable box and my modem back personally, and explaining that the reason I am cancelling is due to Comcast's complete disregard for customer service in that they constantly lie to their customers about having "unlimited" service as well as messing around with packets they ought not be messing around with.
Not everyone is so lucky, I read so many posts in other threads saying that Comcast is their only option for broadband. Hopefully that will change for them. I have a friend in a rural area who was able to sign up for sprint wireless broadband, because comcast wont run their cable 20 feet across the road to his house. The only issue with the sprint connection is it is not incredibly reliable, but for the most part his link stays up while he is using it.
(Once, I put 1.5 euros in an automatic vending machine. The machine gave me my coffee, and returned 2 euros, which I obviously kept. Should the owner of the machine sue me?)
The authorities have now been informed and you must report immediately back to that vending machine and leave the 2 euros on the top for reclamation. They also wanted me to tell you, "Don't let it happen again."
I would like to see a fine applied to your post. I have a big problem with your use of the integer "N" because it's the first letter of one of the forbidden words. Please use a more neutral integer in the future; say, "X".
Oh I'll do more than that!
I will create an account with AT&T, cancel it, and then smash all my computers in front of their corporate headquarters!
That will show those Cyberpunks...
Does posting as AC in a thread you've moderated violate the Mod rules?
No.
This is the only part I can see that you may be (mis)applying:
Why Don't I get my points back after I post in a discussion I moderated?
Basically because of the following scenario:
Bob Moderates a Discussion
Bob Waits Until Tomorrow When the Discussion Leaves the Homepage and Activity Dies Off.
Bob goes into dead discussion, posts and comment, reclaims his moderator points.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat
This scenario would easily allow a user to continue to have moderator access for as long as they felt like it. Simply disallowing the retrieval of points makes this impossible.
You can't undo your moderation by posting as AC in a thread you have moderated.
It sounds like perhaps you or your company did not keep proper records when purchasing the computer. It also sounds like you don't like the mac system if you are so happy that one broke.
You make it seem like Dell is somehow better at technical support, which is laughable to say the least.
The institute has also purchased Ventnor Ave. and is in the process of putting up several pricey Hotels. A sign in the front window of the first reads, "No Shoes, No hat, No service." The local dog could not be reached for comment and the car was in jail at the time.
Exactly. Even better, If you have your own domain name where all email gets delivered to one "catch all" makes it even easier. My friend uses a different email address for each site he signs up for to see who spams him or sells his email out. It's also a good way to know if a site is being honest with any policy where they state they won't do anything with your email address.
Additionally, it is a good idea to not use the exact same username for each site you have to "sign up" for, especially if you are unsure of the sites policies. The main problem for most folks is trying to remember all of this information when they want to log in. I've heard of devices that will help with this but have never tried them.

Will this be followed up with a story about an Apple manager stating:
"We didn't start the Fire..."?
This would be the same recycling center that was recently issued a violation by the California Environmental Protection Agency...
I hope they come out of it OK, good to see them getting more positive publicity. Reduce, Recycle Reuse!
I think there is a mod out there on crack, parent clearly isn't a troll.

They should have invested in Professor Frink's Gambletron 2000. Then none of this would have occurred.
Professor Frink, Professor Frink! He'll make you laugh, He'll make you think...
"Go hork yourself you sheeprag" This is my new favorite phrase. I'm going to use it every chance I get! Thanks db32!
You make some valid points.

Oh wait you can't use X either...
Your post is redundant if anything.
Now that I've meta-moderated your meta-moderation, I need a nap.
I swear man I didn't know she was your daughter!
Actually I would mod both posts offtopic because this is a story about robots...
According to the wikipedia, EMI is part of the BPI (Britains version of RIAA)
However so are some of the companies that are also part of the RIAA...
Well, there are quite a lot of Stories about Scooters
I think that should count.

Well Said!! Maybe they should have spent their 30 days more wisely...
hmmm, maybe I shouldn't post to Slashdot at 2 a.m.
