Keep this stuff up. Grab it from google. Write a program to walk government websites and compare them to google's cache of them and re-instantiate them.
Also, the amd video may have been using a video card or video mode with hardware assist that greatly reduced the CPU load compared to Tom's configuration.
Is there a web page that tracks the web of companies and their officers/board members so you can see what the people on the board of a given company have left in their wake ?
Randal Schwartz (co-author of Programming Perl) did just this thing...
No he didn't. He wasn't a minor in school. He cracked passwords as an adult while working at Intel Oregon. (I worked there around the same time). He probably wouldn't have gotten hozed so bad if he hadn't cracked the password of one of the *VP's*. This is where the Pentiums are designed. This is where every 50 feet is a padlocked "sensitive trash" recepticle and ceiling cameras all over.
I recently bought a copy of VC++ 6.0 at compusa for a client. I promptly went to the MS registration site to um, register it. In order to complete the registration, MS forced me to signup for a passport account.
Does this mean people in maryland can't register MS products.
This whole thing about bullying being one of the causes of kids going nuts and killing others (or themselves) needs to be attached in context to the issue of volutary school prayer. That is, the school system forcing children into a situation where they have to opt out of a group activity because of their religion, making them more likely to be scorned by those in the "majority". Forcing school prayer or "moments of silence" like they do in the Pat Robertson-dominated Viriginia system, is a policy that leads to pain and death for those kids whose parents don't happen to be fundamentalist lunatics.
Embed the whole goddamn array of md5 checksums (compressed of course). That way you're not embedding the aim.exe image. And the aim.exe image can't be retreived from the md5 array, so no aim.exe copying problem.
fuck em
One of etrade's ad gif's which they pulled from a 3rd party was down. That etrade page (which was supposed to let me do stuff with lots of MY money) subsequently hung in my browser waiting for the gif to load. NO, stopping the browser didn't bring up the rest of the page.
>>Wouldn't it be worth $100 to harass a spammer back? (local fees for a small claims action here)
Lawsuits for harassment are illegal. You'd pay a LOT more than 100$
efront ceo seems caught with that demand letter
on
eFront From Inside
·
· Score: 1
Have you read the demand letters being sent out from eFront's "legal department" ???
No one thinks a real lawyer wrote it.
Two things (and I read this on FC, sooo...):
1. The letter threatens criminal action. However, it is illegal to use the threat of criminal prosecution to coerce action in a civil dispute. So, if a real lawyer wrote it he would be disbarred.
2. And if a real lawyer didn't write it, then whoever did write it is practicing law without a license by sending a letter from the "legal department" without a signature of someone claiming to be a lawyer.
So, either efront gets a real lawyer to swear that he sent the letter thereby being disbarred, or whoever sent it (the ceo???) gets prosecuted for practicing law without a license when one of the recipients files a complaint in Orange county.
I have personally commuted from portland to boise serveral times. 25minute drive form NW portland (the good side) to the airport. A way quick flight to boise (goto horizon airlines web site). Pick up rental and 10-15 minutes to downdown boise.
Creationists insist it started with adam and eve about 6000 years ago. But recently (I wish I had the link), human ancestry has been genetically traced back 10,000 generations. This alone blows the 6000 year old earth thing out of the water. And with it, a large chunk of the most vehement anti-darwinists.
So, you want 1000's of people to simultaneously downlad a 1GB file from slashcode.srouceforge.net eh? No problem. My dsl line will now suck (what appears to be) about 30kBps of your bandwidth for the next oh, 7 hours. I can spare it. Can you?

thank you.

We have consulted with an attorney who believes we stand on a strong foot for the following reasons:
"gaim" and others are not confusingly similar to "aim."
Well there you have it. AOL is clearly in the wrong.
Amusingly enough, it also mentions that VA hardware largely powers F'd company. Your guess is as good as mine wrt the truth in this rumor
I believe it is definitely true that VA Linux powers most of FuckedCompany.
Why don't they just assasinate him and take the computers like any other self-respecting government?
Its fine getting engineers to talk to engineers in their own language (code -> code). But what about engineering talking to users? (code -> ???)
Show me one serious gui app that was developed open source. Could Word have been developed open source?
To the amour guy... nya nya nya :)
John Deep named it after his daughter (or a long used nickname for her). Something about the french word for love. Or something like that.
as much as the fuel itself.

What are the fundamentalist lunatics going to say now? Earth is 6k years old?

When I grow up, I want a garbage collector to come take away all the crap I'm too lazy (or incompetent?) to clean up myself....

A web site I work for that does streaming music sends a lot of music traffic to Korea. There do seem to be clusters of clueful in that country.
