Really? You and all your friends and family are running something other than MS Windows then I take it?;-)
Yes, I know viruses are technically able to happen in any environment, but practically speaking, how many non-MS-specific viruses (not worms) are currently in the wild for non-MS platforms?
You speak as if government isn't completely beholden to the interests of big business. It is. Most evidence to the contrary is just PR spin, or to put it correctly, propaganda.
Rubbish, you sanctimonious prick. 10-1 you live where you do through sheer luck; probability of being hit by any natural disaster was not likely part of your planning. I assume you also drive only the safest car, eat only guaranteed healthy foods, don't smoke or drink, never take recreational drugs, refuse to board flights in all but the best weather, don't use a cell phone, don't watch TV, don't climb, skydive, or bugee jump, or absolutely anything else that deviates from absolute and complete safety? Shut up and sit down.
Instead of modding this fool up, down or sideways, complain to Amazon's Associates program directly. Include his referrer tag and they will almost certainly revoke his affiliate status because of unacceptable spamming in violation of Amazon's Affiliate agreement. His Amazon affiliate ID is kaleidojewel-20 and associates@amazon.com is the place to email your complaints to. If we nip this in the bud, there'll be no more incentive for such spam. Please be polite when emailing Amazon - this *is* against their policies, they just need it to be brought to their attention.
If it really went from $50k to $0, I think it says a lot about the crazy prices that software costs. It's obviously priced by good 'ol thumb suck & guess work . Also, after a certain point, your initial development costs are completely covered, and whatever sales you achieve thereafter is almost pure profit. If you reach that point before the end of the product cycle, IMHO you've then over-charged. Disclaimer: IANAE (I am not an economist) of course:/
Surely, hopefully, this will have a knock-on effect for other electronic hardware, with prices showing a downward trend in order to try & keep sales from the PC. I must say that for what you get inside the typical PC these days, it's incredible value for money.
Also, this has to put pressure on our friends in Redmond, as their OS tends to become the priciest "component" of any new PC not running an alternative OS. Couple this with the Mac switch to Intel, and BG & Co could really be in a spot of bother... Interesting indeed.
They already do - kinda - by having their "safe search" options in preferences. I'd rather the default was left to "don't filter my results", but it appears not to be.
... incapable of peacefully accepting the views of others (which in itself is completely anti-American) ...
Actually, that's about the best definition of current "American" behaviour I've seen. The inability to peacefully accept others' views I mean.
Funny, I see that every time I go to cnn.com...
Zigactly. ;-)

US shareholders would do best to get their own government's act cleaned up before getting all uppity over China...
We're more used to it being referred to by its name: Steve Ballmer... ;-)
It's "developer", you fuckwit submitter, D-E-V-E-L-O-P-E-R. Editors, huh? WTF are those?
Quick answer: *everything* is censored to a degree or another, and this is always due to agendas being pushed.

Fuck. 10 years too late for *this* nerd... I coulda done with this kinda PR when I was 23!
Those who do not understand Unix are doomed to reimplement it, poorly. -- some famouser & cleverer person than me
Sarcasm noted, but what's scary is that that is almost exactly what 99% of Flash developers would think!
Um, no they don't.
Why post crap when facts are easy to check out?
