The way to feed people is to pay them wages so they can buy things. And if there's nothing to buy, help farmers produce it. All my opinion of course. Capitalism can work better, but the benefits of society need to be spread to those who need the money.
I don't have a problem with rich folks sitting on their asses - I would if I were rich. But they've been given incentive to create jobs and that simply hasn't happened. Therefore, they should either create significant jobs in the US or pay higher taxes than before the Bush tax cuts.
We can't even get good competitive internet service in the US. Or affordable healthcare despite a thriving market. If there's not an immediate profit, it's not going to happen.
And a huge number of people have bought the device and love it. Certainly it's not the device it could be, but it does what it says it does. Calling people who own this "Lemmings" and "Sheeple" is bullshit - the got what they paid for. I have plenty of ways to get local and internet content to my TV so i don't need a chromecast, and I understand the frustration at having a nice hack blocked by Google, but don't insult people who paid good money and got what they paid for.
I happen to agree with you. Totally. But at the very least, let people work....don't automate them out of work and then complain that they're not working.
A news story from the future that is pretty much unavoidable.
I see the benefit of driverless cars, but people need jobs too. We need to think about that when we eliminate jobs instead of demonizing the unemployed. If companies and society are putting these people out of work, we need to do something. Our increasing productivity is producing a class of unemployable people. IMO, If we don't want that, we should hire these people to do what robots could.
Back then we actually gave a damn about the country and had national pride at accomplishing a goal. Plus, American productivity was actually more than a field of wheat to be harvested by our corporate masters...unlike today. We'll never have that kind of drive again. Our only drive is profit nowadays.
Any company with the ability to produce a product is one new product away from success, so you shouldn't call them dead until they're really, really dead (cannot design and produce new products).
According to the economic ramblings of those who deny human-caused climate change, the fat blowhard's failure to take advantage of the opportunities that climate change offers is his shortcoming, so even that isn't a disadvantage if you use their logic.
I felt that way, and I don't want to infer that you don't need it, but I'm having trouble filling 32gb Nexus with all of the cloud services out there. And if you use ES file manager, you can't tell them apart from local storage - you can even stream movies from them. Also, you know ROMs are coming for this.
I love my Nexus, but Android devs needs to get off their asses and produce some good midi apps. Now that the IRig wirks with Android devices, we can have this. Otherwise, I'm going to have to go to the dark side and get a MacBook or Ipad to take on stage for this purpose.

I use and love F-Droid.
The freedom to allow apps permissions for you system brings risks. Read the permissions screen before clicking 'allow', folks.
no because I have to fit google into my NWO corporate nsa fcontrail antasies somehow
they have a lot more non-Al-Queda members in their ranks though so does that actually make them heroes?

With windows 8, and RT, Ms could be on that list if Xbox one fails the way they seem to want it to.

Science and common sense are behind the wheel. Environmentalists are behind the correct side of the argument, and that burns conservatives to hell.
Well fortunately we have science with proof of this one.

They have weed, pool, and the flamethrower. Occasionally, a dog might come running into camp neing chased by a helicopter. It's not totally boring.
Please, never comment on this subject again.
Really, they're thinking about Velveeta? For Burritos? On Mars? In an Airtight bubble?
I hope it does well. Print is not doing well these days. Perhaps a heaily web-integrated setup like Wired would help....

Fun Fact: You can't get coverage without agreeing to the fact that you may not get coverage, and the "appeals process" is all controlled by them too.
Same for me. And they wanted me to train them on my way out. And they did. They got trained on how to surf Amazon.
Scared idiots bought up all the ammo. See any gun show for example.
