Can you list links and examples of remote app deletion and apps that are not allowed to be used by certain consumers?

While I do admit I haven't heard of any times Apple has remotely deleted Apps (yet), they have admitted that they built in a back door in iOS that will allow them to do just that.

I mentioned it more because I've seen people doing just that before with Facebook (I live in a vacation area, a national park). I couldn't believe it when I first saw it, and had to show them to difference between their original digital photos (which they had been deleting to save space) and what the versions on Facebook were like side by side.

  14. Re:redundancy on How Do You Store Your Personal Photos? · · Score: 1

Joking aside, places like Facebook are horrible for storing photos since Facebook shrinks them and degrades their quality so they take less space on their server. Facebook photos are for the quick pictures you took with your phone, not for the good ones you took with a decent digital camera.

  15. Re:What a great way to die on Motorola Sticks To Guns On Locking Down Android · · Score: 1

Thats a small part of the problem. The big issue is that without a LOT of research the consumer wouldn't know about this. Motorola isn't going to print this as a selling feature, in fact they won't mention it on the product at all, and neither will the reviews about this phone. When I'm looking about upgrading to a new electronic device, searching Google for something like "What software hacks will cause this product to self-destruct" isn't on the list of things I'm going to research. What needs to be addressed is that the consumer should be able to be notified about these issues before they are allowed to buy it, not find out from buyers remorse. This was the same issue that came up a while ago with DRM on music cd's. People wanted to be able to know which ones had DRM and not learn the hard way and the companies don't want to make this information available because people will vote with their feet so they prefer to try to hide it (the companies claimed they didn't want to make the information known because people would only buy the cd's they claimed that would be able to easily pirate if I remember right).

Where did you hear that Titan was going to be any of those you listed? According to this article, Titan is only known as being Blizzards next-gen MMO that is due to launch at the end of 2014. Now the whole Starcraft 2 trilogy is due to be finished and released in the beginning of 2013, a year and three quarters before Titan is released. This is around the same time span as World of Warcraft was released after Warcraft 3 (if you ignore a few months, due to it being pushed back.) Sounds like this will be like what Blizzard did with World of Warcraft. Release the game, give it around 2 years for the public to have a good grasp of the worlds lore, then release MMO set a little further beyond the last game, profit (wouldn't want to release it too soon or it could hurt the RTS's sale, and not too late that it's foggy for people to remember the lore). This time it looks like it will be Starcraft to use this formula.

I admit that my Androids auto correct wasn't that great (tried it with Swype, hated it), but I don't recall it being as bad as these examples. Noticed the odd message here and there from my friends who own iPhones but always thought it was their fast typing causing the issues. Does pretty much every iPhone user notice this problem and just ignore it or is this site just a list of a more "vocal" minority?
