  1. Re:The Real Issue on Amazon Caves To Publishers On eBook Pricing · · Score: 1

You're making a huge assumption that a song is WORTH more than 99 cents and a book is worth more than 9.99. If people valued them as higher there wouldn't be a drop off in sales. Regardless of the psychology, a market sets prices all by itself (assuming consumers are "rational" and the government stays out of the market). I can tell you a #2 pencil is $9.99 all day but you're not going to pay it. Why?

  2. Re:This is College on Professors Banning Laptops In the Lecture Hall · · Score: 1

Agreed. This is why we have mandatory attendance and this is why we have distracted students. If I have a professor that would rather do research than teach and subsequently give a crappy lecture, why do i want to show up? I don't want him to waste my time but mandatory attendance might force me to go. If I have a laptop at least I can be productive during those 2 hours that would otherwise be wasted. It's all a big scam involving teachers and students being in a room they don't want to be in.

I just want the 45mbs that I was promised. Too bad that when i finally get it, it will be 45mb/s for $49.99 and $5 per every 1gb of data downloaded.

LMAO. My videocard alone has more ram than my xbox 360 and PS3 combined. Maybe we will start comparing F-22's and messerschmitts soon. Perhaps we can look at how the Ferrari California stacks up to the new Honda Fit.

  5. Remove DRM From Save Games? on PS3 Hacked? · · Score: 1

I just want to backup my Demon's Souls save game. Is that so much to ask? If someone can hack a ps3 to remove the DRM they put on save games, I'm all for it.

  6. Re:No, Seriously... on Google Attackers Identified as Chinese Government · · Score: 1

What China realised and the USSR didn't, IMO, is that they could forget the cold war and essentially buy the west with the west's own money. /crazy theory

Maybe they realized it and already succeeded. I would argue they bought or influenced every major media company, pushed a socialist agenda, and now we have a socialist president.
