I used to get something that we named the "Powell Plague" (after its original vector). It recurred annually, three to eight weeks of invalidity. Four years ago I talked a nurse into giving me the pneumonia vaccine, et voila, I haven't had it since.
If you RTFA you will see that this is all for your benefit. "state privacy laws would prohibit individuals or private companies from abusing the vans, while the Fourth Amendment prohibits law enforcement agencies from doing the same." See? Now calm down and get back to work, peasant.
You're welcome to dispute the logic, it's not based on solid data. I believe that the price of bulk mail should be raised UNTIL it drives the bulk-mailers into a much more useful occupation, such as buggy-whip manufacturing. I'd like to see this voted on, but representation/= democracy.
I don't buy that "Junk-Mail-Subsidizing-First-Class" crap. If that was true, First-Class would be cheap or free, and the recyclable-paper-waste would cost more to deliver than First-Class does now.
Some of us non-Sabbath-Keepers find Saturday delivery useful and productive. I've had problems with delivery drivers (particularly the pinheads from the USPS) over-ruling my request for packages to be left on the porch when no one is home, and causing delays in production due to untimely delivery. On Saturdays I stand a better chance of stopping them before they leave with my stuff.
In TFA they mentioned a patent, which they will license to the incumbent CFC manufacturers so that they will be able to properly manage price and availability. Like oil companies controlling the EV battery patents, this will insure stability in the markets. Pure science can be socialistic, but once our tax dollars fund a viable solution, it's free enterprise all the way, baby!
From TFA: Cellphones can't have a specific absorption rate (SAR) -- the amount of radio waves absorbed by the user's body -- greater than 1.6 watts per kilogram.
IANAE but I think that's where "body weight" entered the discussion.
It shows that more clearly on the previous picture. I was wondering about that, I guess it would be pretty intuitive reaching over the monitor and fitting the disc in the carrier; It does look weird.
She cooperated with authorities and was allowed to plead guilty on the lesser offense of simple possession. She served five days in detention and was released back into the community.
Interesting that the school can't get their story straight. All TFA in the summary got was that this incident had some relation to the TX Nutritional Law, which obviously it didn't, and the person who made statements to KHOU was not qualified to speak aloud. OTOH, I think five days detention is pretty draconian for this infraction, so perhaps the person(s) actually in charge there have a problem with their administrative qualifications as well.
WHOOSH! That was actually pretty good. Sorry I'm not up on my P.H. Scripture. I had an unfortunate vision of a fat guy with a 5-day shadow, in a tutu. Note to self: Google BEFORE posting.
Chris Isaak had to quit calling his band Silvertone when he got a deal with Warner Brothers, Sears would NOT cut a deal for the use of the name. He can use that name for an album or a song though, and I think he's kind of using the name "unofficially" for his band now. As for me, it ain't been Silvertone since they did the Pete Best thing to Johnnie Silvers.
It's a classic. I googled it to try and get the punctuation correct, and found it quite well ref'd on the web. I always thought that one summed up the corporate approach to morality. Not "Is it a good thing", but "Will it make money".
Thank you. Not I, nor any of the Club-Owners I've met, were aware of this. There's probably modern alternatives to the old lamp-in-series trick for speaker protection as well...

I guess I'm just old, but after all these years, I still find it jarring to see him doing comedy.
Equivalent to a chest x-ray? No thanks.

"if the system sent automated drones out to deal with everything it thought was a crime..."
Talking to the "human" cops around here is very much like that.
If a 911 call got you a "competent professional", OTOH...
WTF?
I clearly need to spend more time surfing the web.

AOL 9.5 is far more advanced.

Eeewww. That's an image I didn't need this early in the A.M. thanks.
The Emissary should do better sales as most people like to sit when they play. I could imagine the Sultan useful in a Mall Gaming Store, perhaps.

Poor sportsmanship, I'd say, but I think that's what they said when the first artillery barrage came in.
"Death ray, fiddlesticks! Why, it doesn't even slow them up!"
