    Yeah, its great -- but smoothwall doesn't address issues like high availability, or any sort of application inspection.

    Oh yeah, and how do you efficiently manage your smoothwall firewalls after you deploy 50 of them?

    It's just the same ugly packet filter with more makeup.

    I go to a lot of movies (at a lot of different movie theatres), and I have yet to run into someone nearby who is talking on their cell during the movie, let along talking loud enough to drown out the movie.

    Asking the person if theyd turn their cell off usually works, especially when there are people all around you who would back you up on that request.

    I dont like those things because aside from the fact that they should come with a sign that you wear says "I'm a big dork", they have a tendancy to get 'stuck' turned on after not a whole lot of wear. A keychain light should be as durable as your keys. The photon or LED lights are just way too flimsly.

    They're popular in our office as a gift item (Twice I've had one given to me -- maybe I'm just a big dork), and now I quickly regift them if I get any more of them. There are much better keychain lights out there.

    "Virtual PC will support Linux" as in you can load a supported linux distribution on Virtual PC....for now.

    You still have to be running Windows or MacOS to use Virtual PC.

    The SysReq (or "System Request") key is still heavily used in the as/400 world for job management on the system console. Using the SysReq key, you can send different signals to whatever current job was running

    Think of it as a key dedicated to the unix 'kill' command.
