I thought this was standard, expected behavior for archive files? Unzip software is supposed to give a prompt that a file is going to be overwritten, to mitigate that.
Even funnier if it had 6507 or 6502 backers, considering the actual chip used in the Atari 2600. I checked back for a few days and noticed the funding amount slowed down drastically after it hit $2 Million. Apparently people realized it'd make more sense to buy a $15 Raspberry Pi and load it with games than to buy a $200+ device loaded with an unknown mix of Atari 2600 games. Now if it included 5200/7200/8-bit/ST/Lynx/Jaguar games, then it would be something that hasn't been released before. It's way over-spec give most people are buying it for the Atari 2600 games, few are going to care about the Unity etc. games.
This Atari VCS device supports Twitch streaming. There are enough videos on Youtube of every Atari 2600 game that noone will be missing anything. Some other games may be ported to the device... but there will already be Youtube videos for those. The Playstation 3 enabled HDCP for every game (until a patch near the end of its life) IIRC.
Probably related to it being posted by 'FirehoseFavorites' which I presume is a bot that autoposts highly-rated Firehose entries if the editors don't post (or queue) anything for long enough. Although this was followed by 2 queued stories so who knows.
A guaranteed minimum income to raise everyone to the poverty level makes more sense to me. It'd cost far less, for one thing, and if the assessment is done frequently enough it'd (quickly) cover people who had a well-paying job but became unemployed. Of course the poverty level is far too low, so it'd have to raise people to like 150% of the poverty level.
The people who most need UBI are those who have poor impulse control or are least intelligent. I.e. those most likely to be convicted of a crime and be unable to make it through a training/educational program.
Instead of PreCrime sending you to jail, it sends you a check? I'm cool with that. One day we'll accept that it's cheaper and better to send some people a kilo of weed and a $500 PSN giftcard than to deal with the consequences of what they're doing when they're NOT high and staying home being entertained.
It's unlikely many people will attempt to game the neural net by intentionally acting like a destitute person, if they're able to avoid it; and the neural net can distinguish those cases from those who really need it, anyhow.
Some of these people are contracted to produce shows for Youtube Red. Wait, didn't they change the name/functionality of that recently? I can't keep it straight.
My dad still has an analog camera, and refuses to switch to a digital one. The local camera shop and convenience stores stopped developing film, now he has to go to Walmart and hope the one employee that knows how to develop film is on duty. He has taken to shooting photos on his flip-phone, so maybe there's hope for him yet.
Was this guy elected? Sam Basil sure sounds like a Western name. Sounds to me like what PNG needs is Transparency. Maybe they could establish it as an 'alpha value', even.
This isn't secret. You can actually go into the Alexa app and listen to voice clips of everything you've ever said to your Alexa devices. The clip even starts with the person saying 'Alexa' so there's a buffer which gets added to the recording once it detects you're addressing it. Sometimes you can even hear voice clips from other people talking to their own Alexa devices on other accounts, although customer support claims this is rare.

The GPU mining bubble already burst and GPU availability/prices are pretty much back to normal, at least for Nvidia.
Bonus points if they were thrown in prison for weed possession.
According to Soviet panspermists, Mars terraforms YOU!

Learn to love it or start building guillotines.
I just figured out how to restore our manufacturing base! Demand will never be met!
That'd explain why they're so salty.

Don't worry, it burns Clean Coal whenever the environmental regulations inspectors stop by.
So long as they don't 'break molds' in the DeLorean sense...

Buy a server and pay a programmer to code game server software, at least.

the system also analyzes students' actions, categorized into: reading, listening, writing, standing up, raising hands, and leaning on the desk.
Soon to come: doodling, fomenting rebellion, gossiping, sleeping, reading non-class materials, and pranking.
Remember, Citizen: Equality means including an equal number of every ethnic and minority group, no matter their relative numbers in society.
No, the baby boomers didn't create all the problems of the world.
I agree, it was the Greatest Generation.
How much faith do I have in 'Fiat' now?! Scary stuff like this is why I bought a Toyota. /s
