The first thing Obama did was get Congress to sign off on all the domestic spying so that he wouldn't take the fall. They kept doing it all, but now the feds have legal cover. Mind you, I think it's all shamelessly unConstitutional but you probably have to attach the laws.
That's because we live in a litigious society. That sets you up for a fat settlement payout. Ever wonder why people always say "I regret..." in some statement of admission rather than "I apologize"? That's because the latter is admission of responsibility and the former simply means "I wish it didn't happen" in legalize.
When Gloria Alred is running around with some bimbo trying to elicit the words "I apologize" that's why (such as she did with one of Tiger Wood's mistresses).
Useful levels of fusion are still a long way off. "They didn't get more fusion power out than they put in with the laser," says , the head of a huge fusion experiment in the U.K. called the , or JET.
Not sure if this is a rehash of the same fusion discussion here a few weeks/months ago...
This microsystem is an anomaly. Let it collapse as it eventually will. This kind of thing happens all the time in nature. I watched a neat documentary of a small ecosystem along a desert shore line with mainly a plant, a beetle, and chameleons in a food chain thriving off morning dew. The animals blew in/drifted in by chance and found a niche and any fluke weather pattern could collapse it. Just part of the roll of the dice.
The primary reason was that the accessible aircraft are pretty low performance unless you're planning on dropping a lot of money. Somehow, we had hundreds of thousands [sic] of prop jobs able to do 300-400 mph in WWI but the planes the average joe will get to fly today move at less than half to a third of that. So, for me all the fantasy trips across country became unreasonable.
That sounds like a terrible idea. I took a linear algebra class for programmers (it was run by the math department, but it wasn't a part of their curriculum) and for some odd reason there were 2 senior-level math majors in the class (probably for an easy A for them). They basically dominated the lectures and pushed things too much including the curve. We had a 1st year professor and he would often make assumptions on class progress based on his interactions with them (and I'd spoken with him maybe 5 times that semester).
OK, so they want to store everything passing across the lines that they deem suspicious, promise us that no one will look at it with a warrant, then if you're ever suspected of something they can go back and find all your communications over the past X years. And, since the feds don't want the blame for holding onto this information (and looking as Big Brother-ish as they are), they want private industry to pony up the disk space? I'd almost trust the NSA more to house this info since they'll only snoop in on my conversations when I post/say a flagged word/phrase. Wheraeas I KNOW private companies will as soon as they figure out how they can commoditize it.
It's Orwellian enough seeing Google spam me with ads based on my email conversations.
That "big hit" was pretty damned big, and he's had a lot of other cool inventions. They might not be so visible to you if you haven't looked up his product line. Dyson also came up with a better hand-dryer and he's even topped it with one with the hand-dryer AT the faucet. I really like the way the guy thinks. He has the ability to drop all preconceived notions about technology and start from scratch.
Try watching your favorite NFL team out-of-market. The only legal recourse is to buy a DirecTV package and even on just one screen that'll run you ~$100/mo plus the NFL package which is ~$3-400. So, you're looking at $1200 if all you want is to see the 10 or so Steelers games that aren't nationally broadcast in a year; assuming you don't live around Pittsburgh.
Honestly, ANYONE who gets in the door to challenge KC regulations crushes Comcast; even without a 1 gig pipe. They had a monopoly in my neighborhood and as soon as it was lifted, practically everyone on my street switched within the first few weeks/months to Uverse.
They HATE government regulations...until they're conspiring with Big Business to suppress competition. Interesting note, yesterday one of the silliest laws in the history of our country was repealed. It banned Southwest Airlines from flying outside of Texas from Dallas-Fort Worth. The law was passed to suppress Southwest Airlines when they first started out and protect existing airlines.
That's how it is everywhere. Once someone figures out how they're getting screwed, they rail against it. Rural towns all over America are evaporating because the people there think pro-Big Ag business policies are good for them. At some point, they'll figure out that Junior moved to the big city because of those laws and not because of a bunch of marrying homersexwalls in San Francisco.
This is one of the reasons I have a problem with all those resume-blasting sites. It's one thing to have all that information about yourself sent to a handful of interested companies. It's completely different to have it indexed for any google search or shmucks to set up some phishing operation. OT: I used to regularly get phishing phone calls people (sounded like they were calling from their apartment) using just this kind of information in an attempt to sound legitimate.
And my point is everyone's "aspirations run higher than [their] net worth." You like hiking? Fine, the local park is cool when you make $30K a year. Get a raise to $60 and now the park looks boring. Now you want to take a trip to hike in Colorado. You get a raise to $100K? Even better, now you can take that trip to the Amazon you always wanted to hike the rain forest. You make $200K+, well now you travel the world hiking in all sorts of remote and exotic locations!
This is HOW materialism gets you. It's not just about shiny baubles, champagne and Bentleys like some hip hop mogul.
You don't get sports, do you. It's about a fun camaraderie among fellow fans. I'm not wearing a jersey to support the NFL or the owner or the commissioner. I'm wearing it for my team and that player. If you don't get it, some people think you're just as stupid for shelling out $300 more for a high-end graphics card.
You're not really talking about the same issue my post is. My post was referring to the idea that relatively small raises aren't that big a deal for people; e.g. the $50K I talked about.
As for your $1M figure...you'll probably get max $650K of that $1M after taxes. Pay off the house and car, that's maybe $500K left? You going to life the rest of your life off $500K? As the sibling poster said, if you want to really retire off a windfall you'd better have several million that you can invest, then live off the interest.

There were a handful of political enemies who ended up on the no-fly list around the same time. This is when people had no redress options.

Is it any of the cheap units professors use, or it is some kind of powerful hobby version?

Ah, one of those "faster horse" types, I see...
That is a terrible way to calculate value.

The demo will roll coolly towards camera #1 in slo-mo as the village explodes behind it; assuming Bay is directing this program.
The weakest link won't be the shiny titanium front door.
Don't know that movie, but it was definitely the like the last act of Fight Club.

The train sucks. In the US it's slow and expensive. I wanted to do it for fun and all the pricing I looked up wasn't worth it.

Funny you mention that since it's what I was told she had. I never saw any problems w/ her poop before or after.
