    That also punishes EFFICIENT businesses to some degree.

    An order to close target industrial plant stops the problem without also hurting the businesses Beijing wants to thrive.

    I'm a mechanic, and have trained many mechanics and aircraft technicians in the USAF. What I tried to get across to my trainees is that when you learn that all technology is of a piece, you can choose to get comfortable with as much as suits your desires.

    Techy people of different generations did their thing, but most people are spectators who don't WANT to know how things work.

    I don't hug, don't touch, and explain that professionals don't do that. There is no reason to hug anyone.

    Make it clear that professional conduct requires a lot of space, that is an order expected to be obeyed, and not up for discussion.

    I don't speak to female students unless it's business, and keep a very polite distance at all times. Move at a pace that discourages conversation.

    Nice try but not generally so. Some few enlistees join at 17 with parent/guardian consent, but age of sexual consent varies by state.

    The Middle East not only doesn't play by our customs, those customs are utterly alien.

    They want the technology, but they remain tribalist, Jihadist, Wahabist in the case of KSA, and none of this is changing for the better.
