BTW, the US can't be peaceful because it is too culturally and economically diverse. American subgroups have nothing in common, so the only way to keep society reasonably peaceful is to contain the most violent by force. There was no requirement to support the poor during the Industrial Revolution at other than the most meager level. That was then, this is now. Now, poor illegals are a pure burden. Now, the lifeboat is full and it's time to chase off the less fortunate.
Require citizenship checks for access to health care of all kinds, require it for access to anything useful, and empower and encourage local law enforcement to arrest illegals.
