    try http://www.openantivirus.org .. It's free.. it's open source.. it's in java.. Stick it on the cd with a (windows/linux/mac) jvm.. and you're set to go. I have openantivirus running on my mail server right now... catches almost everything.. I believe there's a "C" version called clamscan out there.... not sure if it'll compile under anything but linux.. but you can always try. ChiefArcher

    Just installed it.. works REALLY well..
    Even IE 5 works well.. even with flash..
    I bought the Crossover plugin awhile back.. so they're running a deal for about $15 or so off the regular price..

    Codeweavers are really doing some incredible work with the wine project.

    the Austin airport also HAD a free wireless network.. but because of the .com fallout, they started charging like $6.95 a day or something... It's sometimes worth if you're sitting there waiting for your flight..

    I am so happy to hear about the farscape renewal.. I think people generally like it because they seem to connect with John. There are not many "crew members" 5?6? so I think viewers seem to follow the show a bit better than say star trek.. when that unknown guy in engineering walks by or that guy in the yellow shirt that gets killed every episode...
    Farscape keeps me wondering what's next... The show rocks... One of the better shows Tivo decided to record.. ;)

    Deja.com and dejanews.com actually used XP..
    It worked well for them... probably because the code was pretty solid to startout with...
    We did have a few instances where DB changes affected code the wrong way... but nonetheless ... it worked really well

    and I don't want to be charged twice for my cd... screw that... we already pay enough for CD's as it is and hardly any of that money goes to the artist..

    I just bought A Kodak DC290.. Overpowered? Nah.. It has a 66Mhz PowerPC in it.. Works Perfect under USB under linux.. The only problem is I wouldn't suggest running DOOM under it... The LCD screen tends to eat batteries like mad.

    I would rather pay the artist directly... That's why I go to concerts.. Artists get fractions of a penny off of CD's.. while they get a lot more revenue off of their touring (if they tour responsibily.... hehe)..

    I really don't want any of my money going to the RIAA.... I used to buy CD's every week.. now I buy 1 every year.

    Dell has been fucked so many times by Intel it's not even funny... .Even when I worked there Intel was bending Dell over the table.
    Dell will continually be screwed until they show Intel that they aren't the only chip makers on the playing field....
    O well... Dell should embrace AMD and others to show Intel who really has control
