Even though ESR is probably not the best choice to put in.. but it's a step in the right direction.. I'm sure he'll give his opinions about everything unholy in the patent office... =)
I was surfing the newsgroups from sigma designs.. I am also an owner of the H+ DVD Decoder.. They are not releasing a linux driver for this product.. they are releasing a linux driver for a _future_ product and not the H+.. This really sucks.. Write sigmadesigns and tell them we want an H+ Driver.
This version is a GREAT improvement over all other wines I've seen.. With this version, I got EXCEL to work (even after I placed a chart in there), WinAMP, Word, ICQ (although the network didn't work), and other programs to work. Plus they must have redid the font support.. Fonts were PERFECTLY clear...
Vinton Cerf is the coolest guy I have ever heard speak. I think he is the best choice to be in there... Hell.. He invented TCP/IP. On a side note when he came to speak at purdue, he said his dog wears a shirt that says "IP on Everything". But... I don't see him having a lot of power now adays on the internet.. He made a big push to roll out IPv6 a while back and no one listened.. But.... Vinton is definately the best choice for the US. ChiefArcher
I'm running E16 right now.. Very smooth.. This version is a lot cleaner of 15.5. Lots of REALLY cool features. I really enjoy the minimizing task bar.. definately worth a look. To bad e.themes.org's image server is down right now so I can't download themes. ChiefArcher
I've been downloading the nightly builds almost nightly,.... I love the way mozilla is going. Within the last 2 weeks, the startup time was cut in like half. It's getting extremely fast and extremely fast.. I can almost use this as my dialy browser now. I still have faith in this project. ChiefArcher
I have a 6x 3rd generation DVD player.. It jumped a few times in the movie and then the audio was off track a few times.. It really sucks..... but O well.. I really like the movie.
He had surgery on both hands... The recovery time for him was about 2 weeks per hand. He said it was painless... So... Something I get to look forward to in the future..
About a month after his surgery he was able to do everything he had before. (Machine Labor)..

It rocks.. it works with almost all ATI cards that have TV support
I have a Hollywood Plus Mpeg decoder card... Supposively, by the end of the year they'll have binary drivers/apps out... That's what the news groups seem to be telling people.. They're just anally slow about doing anything though... I love the card, but I'm really disappointed at the company itself.. Anyone working on drivers out there?/me needs to pick up C a little better.
High School was the worst time of my life. I was a computer nerd.... I almost commited suicide once... High School was fscking depressing..
I never fit in very well.. Now that I'm in college... and it's my senior year.. and I'm in a major where everyone around me are geeks.. It's a lot easier... Actually.. it's great... I've hadn't had a dull moment yet..
The bashing.. it really wasn't bashing at all... It was more at takeing hits at microsoft itself.. He was saying that they make glityz programs.. but that doesn't cut it.
He went over to say that their programs are buggy because they don't have the love that linux programmers do for their kernel and user space. He was pointing out people need to care...
I'm going to RedHat's Certification Program on July 12th.. I finished a big project and saved the company $1.5 mill... They asked what I wanted it return... I said Redhat Certification..
I've looked over what they're going to teach.. Yes, some of it is Redhat only stuff... but most of it is general GNU Linux stuff like ifconfig, route,/etc/exports, can stuff like that... It looks like a great program Side note.. if anyone else is going July 12th-July 16th, Email me
Since It's on your eyes.. would it simulate being surrounded by a huge monitor....??? I'm not to sure about this one.. I'm sure my eyes will already go bad by looking at 10-15 computers a day.... ouch..
Side note.... I wonder how quake would look.... =)
I dunno about this poll... Some languages take fewer lines of code to do things.... O well.. Most my code was in PERL... the Programming language of the gods...

I'm running 2.2.15pre5 right now.. and the JFS breaks NFS.. it gets a conflicting types for 'buffermem'... DOH!
Since I'm a perl hacker, and not a c hacker... this is not quite an easy fix for me..
anyone out there got a fix... (besides turning off NFS)

My favorite spam was a spam about buying your college degree from a non-accredited college.
I almost thought about buying a degree for the hell of it.

We have a flash plugin for Linux Netscape.. I actually use it and it's not buggy at all. The site actually looked pretty cool in flash Chief Archer
There's a plugin.h file on the page showing the functions and structures you need to use. Chief Archer

I went to the speach.. It was GREAT! Linus was an excellent speaker....
It was basicly a 1 hr microsoft bashing event..
He made a reference that star office looked so much like the microsoft suite, confused people actually save their documents before they print..
It was very cool
