If it breaks, you don't fire the trader, the lawyer, CEO, VP, whoever. If you lose a billion dollars you don't jail Jon Corzine. If you gamble people's money, you get a golden parachute.
But if you're an IT guy, everything better be perfect, otherwise you'll get fired (lucky) or sent to jail (unlucky).
That's only if you're directly exposed to the sun, not sitting in a room into which light is entering (which comes from the sun), right? By that measure, there must be plenty of (upper middle class) people who don't get much or any sunlight all day.
>default video recording duration is only 10 seconds, plus it lights up when it's recording.
These are minor details. These are not an inherent part of Google Glass.
If you think they are, let me ask you: If Google Glass were to record for 20 seconds, would you consider it a fundamentally different technology? Of course not, so why are you talking about 10 seconds?
It's 10 seconds today, 10 minutes the next day, and 10 hours the year after that.
The discussion is about total recording, not about the current (perhaps deliberate) shortcomings in Google Glass.
The reason the whole thing started is the Salesforce liar (salesman) said he couldn't take a check for for $125K:
My Pillow offered to pay the amount with a company check but Kokoefer said he "could not carry a check in that amount" and asked that payment be made immediately with a credit card, according to filings.
What is that supposed to even mean? I mean, I can imagine not being able to carry $125K in cash, but a check is a check. And if it's made Pay to the Account of Salesforce.com, it's not as if some mugger is going to get a hold of it and cash at the local Bank of America for crying out loud.
What cuts? There are no cuts, merely reductions in the rate of increase. I assume everybody here took calculus and knows about rates of increase.
The only reason the FAA is reducing air service is because the administration wants to apply as much pain as possible to blackmail the public into crying about restoring the "cuts".
This is called the "Firemen First" approach (cut the fire dept so the mayor won't have to cut back on patronage funds or whatever):
>It's usually a moot point as I ensure to position my laptop in such a way to have the source of light in front of me,
How could you possibly do that? I assume all the windows and and lights in your office have all been installed, and you don't get to move them around.
Meaning that you have the "perfect" location with no window behind or to the side of you, and also there are no lights behind or to the left or right of you?
The usual reason for a hostile takeover is that you think you can run the company better than the current owners/board or the assets would be more valuable in your hands.
Why would Icahn both pay more dollar$ and also not have control of the company? That would be the worst of both worlds.
Yeah, health care should definitely be eliminated as an employer benefit. That's what's caused the entire healthcare debacle in the first place: employers pay for health because it's a pretax benefit. You end up to a place where "insurance" just means paying for everything, and has no meaning anymore. And also hugely expensive.
Buy your own health insurance for cheap (for the small chance you'll have a heart attack or other catastrophic health care problem that a few percent of the population have). For the other stuff (colds and whatnot), just pay out of pocket. It would be cheap if everyone didn't have Cadillac health programs.
>Essentiall the question is can the business function without it? If yes, its not deductible.
What? What kind of messed up standard is that? I'm not saying you're wrong. If you're right, the IRS and the tax laws are more tyrannical than I thought.
Think about anything you use at work: Could you function without it? Most likely. By that standard no business entity's walls would be painted, and certainly no padded chairs to sit on and pontificate about tax law on/.
Just another example of "blame the IT guy".

But are the file sizes so small that this even occurs as a problem?
When I scan from Ubuntu with Simple Scan, by default, the filesize is over 1MB.
Every single character is huge (viewed at 100% size).
If you're sending an email, reduce the size. But why reduce when you're archiving?
Wow, if I had a million dollars, would I ... buy the right to drive a taxi?
How about just put the money somewhere and live off the interest?
Oh, by the way, does sunlight going through a window glass and hitting your face also count?
Oh, I didn't realize that. Do you have a link?
That's only if you're directly exposed to the sun, not sitting in a room into which light is entering (which comes from the sun), right? By that measure, there must be plenty of (upper middle class) people who don't get much or any sunlight all day.
It seems that most Android manufacturers don't upgrade major versions for their phones (2.3 to 4.x).
That may make sense because the newer versions may relate to features or power the older phones don't have.
But do the manufs/Google at least offer minor upgrades (2.3.x) for security/backport purposes?
It seems that Google offering a patch which would only go into new Samsung phones is about useless.
It seems the MK808 doesn't include a remote. Does it include BlueTooth?
Also, is there a way to move the "pointer" around with a remote?
The guy who made up the entire nomenclature of "cost center" vs. "profit center" (Peter Drucker) recanted and said he regretted the entire thing.

Wait, how's that again?
A non-profit doesn't have to pay taxes on its "income" because it's plowed right back into whatever cause it's incorporated for. OK.
But who ever said nonprofits don't have to pay sales tax?

Is there really a noticeable difference between 1Gbps and 2?
He didn't ask for a definition of carrying capacity. He asked for a citation that the earth is at carrying capacity.
>, you should have upgrade rights
FTFY
In the /. dialect, going to a lower version of Windows is called "upgrade".
Oh, you must mean forever. OK, that makes a little more sense.
Otherwise $22.50 is nothing.
But if they're getting a percentage, they still have an incentive to place you in a long term job.
>10x Management, on the other hand, gets a cut of your hourly rate;
A cut or a multiple? A cut would seem awfully small. (1/3 of $150?)
If Windows isn't working, how about trying something else guys?
The answer is staring them in the face: Set up a foundation, share the expenses of development of a Linux desktop (Ubuntu or Mint).
Ubuntu/Mint is fine, it's just making sure the manufacturers are using all compatible hardware (or writing a driver for the odd device).
Prerelease only to consortium members.
It's either that, or sink on the M$ ship.
>Yes, base your opinion on how no you don't.
I'm trying to parse this and failing badly.
