Your point is well taken. It's interesting how nice of a website this "non-profit" organization has. If only some of the most fundamental non-profit organizations had websites this professional, the world might be a better place.
I'm shocked that a Pro-Bush rebuttal was posted on MSN, considering that Microsoft has donated tens of millions of dollars to the Bush War Machine.
It's funny how the Republicans have nothing better to do than form a witch-hunt. Much like Kenneth Star, they can't find any obvious faults in the business that the Democrats do - as a result they end up turning molehills into mountains. They absolutely tried to CRUCIFY Bill Clinton because he got a BJ in the White House. Big deal. Before you Republican hippocrates say that he "devalued the integrity of the White House", you should post your words with caution, because your precious Vice-President Dick Cheney said the word "FUCK" on the sacred Senate Floor.
How ironic that the Republican FCC is forcing Howard Stern off the air for indecency, when the Republican VP is spouting off much more drastic words in one of our country's most sacred buildings.
Let me inform you: It's a movie. He has no obligation to you, or anyone else for that matter. That being said, please allow me to inform you further, it should be noted that EVERYTHING he said in the movie _IS_ factual. The fact that you came up with incorrect conclusions based on those FACTS is your problem.
I do believe that Saddam Hussein killed people, and i highly doubt he had a Kennel of kittens and puppies that he played with on a daily basis (not seen in the movie, but not proven false, either). The fact that he hung people from meat hooks, used chemical weapons on his own people, and funded suicide bombers and harbored the murderer from the Achille Lauro terrorist incident should not be forgotten.
By this measure, the most powerful country in the world should by all means UNILATERALLY DECLARE WAR (WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE REST OF THE WORLD) against this IMMINENT WORLD THREAT. Horrific things happen EVERY DAY around the world and the US does not have an obligation to get involved. The only reason the US became involved in Iraq is because of a fraudulent election and the Billions of dollars (of oil) at stake. If you think there is a "LEGITIMATE" reason, you're either lying to yourself, or you're a complete moron.
And as for Moore's filmmaking style, I felt particularly horrified at the blacked out screen and sounds of the attack on 9/11 the first time, when I viewed a film called 11'09''01 - September 11 by Alejandro Inarritu.
Immitation is the greatest form of flattery. If you're implying that he used it fraudulently, please say so. Otherwise, you're doing the exact thing that Mr. Moore did in his film: Highlight facts and let the audience/reader draw their own [informed] conclusions. The FACT that he did something similar to another movie does not make his movie FAULTY. Your implication that he STOLE IT, however, make your logic flawed.
It's worth noting that he was killed just a few days before re-election in the Senate. He was going to run for a third term and was considered a shoe-in.
Details can be found here. Under the heading: "Wellstone Death Complicates Senate Battle".
Interestingly, the Republicans own the Senate right now. We all know that a Republican Senate virtually a REQUIREMENT for any President hoping to wage a war [unilaterally]?
If anything Moore balances out the very biased news sources you guys have in the states with a refreshing bit of reality. This war was for oil and weapons money and Ben Laden has more chances of being unearth by France than by the US.
You're assuming that Osama Bin Laden isn't already in US Custody. I have a feeling that we already have him, and he'll conveniently be "captured" publicly in September or October (just before the US Election).
Agreed. You proved my point precisely. Because VHS had better "marketing" they were better able to sell the technology to the people. In this case, they "marketed" their product better (ie, they sold the big movie studios on the VHS format; before the BetaMax people could), and as a result they got the deal and helped make VHS more prevalent than BetaMax.
The bottom line is that if MSFT can convince the game makers that their product is better (at the time), they can win bids/contracts/deals.
They're betting on making these moves during the industry "lull" between the major console's products.
For (MSFT) example - "let's try to come out with something "cool" while people are reaching the saturation point of their PS/2's. However, we have to do it before the PS/3 is released. If we can hit that point time, we can make an impact on the market..."

I was 15 at the time, but I worked for $60 a week washing dishes. It gave me the confidence and understanding of the business world to be a "go getter".
I did the college thing, and while I did it I was working at tech-related jobs/consulting gigs here and there. Learning how the business world worked (as droll and drab as it may sound), is actually quite valuable. Learn about sales and marketing and it will help you sell your skillset and accomplishments to employers. I've only really had to "seek" work once (maybe twice) in my professional career. Every other time a job/headhunter has either come to me, or a friend of a peer, etc has offered me a job.
It's worth noting that about 70% of all [US] jobs are obtained via personal networking, and references.
When you're dropping your company's ENTIRE business model into the "mailbox", you deserve whatever happens.
Things of value should be protected and transmitted as such.
I have no sympathy for them. Hell, even Grandma knows better than to send cash in the mail; never-the-less a potentially million dollar peice of software.
You said: Outlook and Outlook Express do not let you open attachments by default.
You meant: Outlook XP and Outlook Express XP do not let you open attachments by default.
Unfortunately, it will take several years until those versions become the "most prevalent on the internet" versions. Let's see - 2 years ago means that anyone running Office 2002 or prior is a virus-factory.
Re-post this same message in about 6 years when you can convincingly say that "Outlook" [generically] does NOT let you open attachments by default. I dare surmise that the vast majority of Outlook users are NOT running Outlook XP.
If I'm not mistaken I believe that Scott Edwards is one of the most prominent of the latest generation of robotics pioneers. His SSC and other projects have (in my opinion) helped to shape the aftermarket/hobbyist robotics industry.
I wanted to give him due propers for his project back in 1996, but I never really had an opportunity (I was too busy studying women and beer at FSU at the time).
Holy shit - that's one of the most intelligent posts [that] I've ever read. The poster is already at his Mod max, but I'm willing to burn a few mod points to give this fellow credit (except for his spelling that is).
Just be patient... GPS is on the way, and eventually it will tie into our communications mediae.
It's just a matter of time until our wristwatch or cell phone tells your PC or "interface station" (whatever it may be) what your locale is. As such, localized communities much like the one you've described will begin to emerge en-masse.

Oh yeah, for the record: It's a MOVIE.
It's worth noting that he was killed just a few days before re-election in the Senate. He was going to run for a third term and was considered a shoe-in.

I'm particularly fond of the implication that Paul Wellstone was murdered via plane crash.
He was one of only 23 Senators that voted against the resolution authorizing President Bush to use military force against Iraq.
He was considered a very liberal Senator, and a "lose cannon" by the Republicans.
I tend to think that tampering with a small plane would be a relatively "easy" way to off someone. Isn't that how Kennedy Jr. died to?
It seems to happen a lot to policial folk - disproportionately so in comparison to small plane crashes.

A lot of people have some form of music(or something) already playing, and don't need your "hold music" service for entertainment.
I like silence with an occasional spoken message reassuring me that my call is going to be processed (and hasn't fallen into the ether).
When I'm in my car with a headset, I don't like listening to _any_ hold music because it overpowers my car's radio.
Similarly, when I'm at home listening to the News or the radio or something, I don't want to have hold music playing in one of my ears.
It also sucks when it's on a speakerphone in the office...
Pure silence with an occasional, "Please continue to hold..." is the best solution in my opinion.
So this is like a technology cold war... However, instead of a nuclear arms race, it's an email capacity race...
I wonder what the effect is of SUPER-steroids on a fellow's member?
If I'm not mistaken, giving a false name _IS_ a crime.

Avoid Promise - seek 3ware.
3ware has great support and superior benchmarks to the Promise, et al. equivalents.
Do your own homework/research, but 3ware appears to be the clear performance leader.

Look at BetaMax. It was a superior in quality to VHS, however, the VHS standard won out because it was marketed better.
For the record, I'm not a big fan of the Xbox.
On Monday ins't SpaceShipOne attempting to go to 100km?
I too smell a rat. I'd like to see more pictures of the user interface, or at least the audio system integration.

Do you have any recommendations?
All these stop just short of integrating well with the web and the client platform. Why? Why has nobody managed (or tried) to take the last step?
Mozilla has.

What ever happened to PHP-Qt? I saw an implementation of it a few years ago, and it's since been stagnant...
Anyone know what's up with that?

... that "go get your bone boy and bring it over here" counts as 10 words.
Let's see 10 words == 1 action. So effectively dogs are only smart enough to remember about 20 worthwhile activities/things !!!
Disclaimer (In case they ever read this): I have 3 dogs that I love very much.
