Not from a sub pinging but from the ping that is sent by a known position being blocked by another sub. I think it would still need to travel by line of sight so that you could triangulate position.
Please. Burning something and seeing how hot the water gets. How does that relate to the human body?
I wrestled for 8 years. You want to loose weight? Get a good scale. Step on it with the sandwich, snack, drink or whatever. If you weigh more than you did in the morning or what your goal is then don't eat it.
You will quickly learn what your body burns during the day and at night.
Also drink a glass of water and wait 15 minutes before you eat anything.
You would think that they would start pushing some of the "junk" towards the Sun or something else like that, bring some of it back with each trip. This tracking bull is just like putting up a sign on the road saying bump. Much easier to point out the problem than to fix it.
Around 1981, there was a game, and probably before that was played by two people. They each had a deck of cards that was cross referenced. You would each call out a move, cross reference it and change your card to see the view you now had of the other person. It was a WWI fighter pilot game.
Just got the 2-D game for my PDA so I think there is a lot of room for improvement and a good path to follow. Infrared would need to be replaced, but off to a good start.

Laws of robotics are based on what might be seen as a good idea. Airbags don't know, or did not know that there were babies in rearward facing seats. No safeguards built in. Most people who are working on AI or machine to interact with humans should take this into account. You might say that silicon will replace the carbon on this planet as the "lifeform" of choice. 2008 in Bejing, I say the sooner the better.
Buy a username and password using a premium rate telephone call and IVR kit. Prepaid cards from a corner shop. There are tons of different ways to get money from end-users. Getting easy access to content and distribution of software is easy. You never hear the adult market sectors saying they can not get paid. It only depends if the end user wants to pay for it.
How would you interact with people who probably don't speak your language, or better said you don't speak theirs.
Just have the characters make sudden and jerky movements. Alot of shouting. Some pushing.
Itchy trigger finger anyone?
Prepaid is much easier than processing small transactions in real-time. Bouncing a transaction off a database is the way to go... but all of you know that. Check out http://www.interactivcash.com if you want to see more about a similar technology.

Cool yeah but they can not go over anything that large and the make the turning radius crap.
Yeah they were "real people". As a historical fact they are heros. But let's be serious...I have seen thousands of ships blow up in outer space. That is what space ships do! They fell into the trap of need, speed and greed. The money was going to go away if the ships were not launched fast enough.
anyone who has ever had an aol account knows all the spam porn offers you get. As long as you can protect/block the kids from it the FTC seems okay about that.
I have seen on the SCIFI channel that they are producing the TV series. It seems like they are keeping it pretty close to the books. The original movie was hard for most to follow, unless you had read the books. I hope this book leads to better reading than the last. ThinkGeek.
Let us take a lesson from Quake. If you are not worried about being killed, then you can just focus on killing. A manned plane has a pilot. No matter how good he is he is still in a certain mode of self preservation. This could lead to friendly fire, shoot at it if you think it probably is the enemy. If you eliminate the pilot the person at the controls can make sure at what they are shooting at. Now don't get me wrong I have fragged plenty of team mates, but hopefully the military can do better.
I think he meant going into bankruptcy.

People have done it and have been funded.
It sounded to me like the how to be a rock band book, but that worked too.
Sounds like this from a while ago.

The map has the same handwriting as other maps found by the same guy.
Here is some more information about it and other things that may never be proven real or not.

The telco's have used the bridge and train technology for a while. This seems to be the same application.
hide and go seek, contains little score keeping activity.

Call up the companies 800 repeatedly number using a modem. The calls are more expensive. It is also better for the enviroment.

I thought the pen trick at the arcade was the best cheat ever. Many a time I almost busted my finger by hitting the pencil right at the fulcrum.
