No, the reason is marketing. If you were Intel, and had created a processor 4-8 times faster in workload than current ones. Would you sell it? or would you sell a lesser model that was only 2x as fast. Then enxt year you release the 3x as fast edition. You can make this stretch out for 10 years on one development. Does anyone actually believe that in 2037 i'll be able to view that content, or have some sort of recourse to get either an updated version without extra money, or simply a refund since i'm no longer able to use. From the article: Once Windows was installed to the iSCSI target, gPXE could then boot directly into it, without any need for a local disk at all. Yes, this means you can PXE-boot Windows 7 itself, not just the installer. Now I fully intend on doing this, just not to your extent. I read up on gPXE and where it can be installed to, the web site says: "We, the Etherboot Project, create network booting code that allows computers to load their operating system from a network. Our code can be stored in a number of places, including BIOS Flash, EPROMs, floppy, CD, HD, or other bootable media." Which option did you choose? I assume BIOS FLASH or CD, I guess I could find a use for those 64Megabyte flash drives I've got....
