Sorry to reply to a Funny with a serious comment, but just FYI, placesdomake videogames for the blind. Not like you should be expected to know that.. except gamegirladvance is required reading for any videogame enthusiast.
Carpool lanes can still work -- I know Virginia allows people with "Special Clean Fuel" cars (essentially hybrids) to ride in carpool lanes. That's the only reason my mom bought a Prius, so they saved at least that much of the ozone.
I used to have an ISP like that (even provided a dialup shell, and unlimited storage space, which was useful for downloading huge files on a modem), but then they got bought out by Quantum, who got bought out by Monumental Networking Services, who got bought out by Verio, who got bought out by NTT. Somewhere along the line, they started sucking.
The point in posting that it's illegal to make and keep a copy of your friend's CDs for your own use (as opposed to making a million copies of your own CD for your own use) is that the submitter obviously didn't know that, or they wouldn't have posted it.
Oh, go away. It's not illegal to tell people that you've done it, and it's not like the police are going to go knocking on his door with a warrant, now. And it's not like everybody that posted saying, "Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!" was trying to be philanthropic in doing so.
Now, it will be interesting to see if there is going to be more eye strain for people using the 3d mode all day long vs using LCD-shutter-based solutions (with the screen at 160Hz obviously). I don't think so, but you never know... I dunno... I got some pretty bad headaches back when I was looking at Magic Eye-type pictures all the time.
Maybe you're talking about something else, but it seems very simple to me:
Say you have a line of cars, all smooshed up against each other. The one in the back presses the gas enough to tap into the car infront of him (nigh instantaneously, as they're nigh touching). The driver in front has superfresh reaction time (considering that delta_t~=10^-43, and this is just an analogy, this would be feasible), and immediately steps on his gas. It goes on down the line, proceeding quite quickly, while the cars never break 1 mph.
If you don't like that analogy, apply the same idea to a game of pass-the-poke.
Or if you're talking about something else entirely, then sorry for burning your eyes with my uselessly radiating text.
no. Garcia's moved off campus and was replaced by a *pause* *GASP* "Chocolate Bar"! I don't know what that means, actually. I've never been. Some sort of cafe.
As much as you'd hope for this to be the case, that is not, practically speaking, Christianity. That is Jesus Christ. Christianity, unfortunately, is filled with hypocrasy (that's not to say that every Christian is, or that every denomination of Christianity is, but many are). I have nothing against religion at all, although I personally hold no beliefs beyond what I can gleam from facts of my own experience, but I do have something against hypocrasy.
I'm not going to argue with the statement on tolerance you made. (Yay preterition!)
Looking back on this post, I should probably correct myself. People can be complete hypocrites regardless of their religious status, so making a general statement like "This is Christianity" is a bad idea. Just like language is whatever is accepted by the majority of the populace (take, for example, our definition of problematic vs. the dictionary's--look it up), religion is what is practiced, not what is idealized.
It's probably way too late for this message to even be read, but I'll give it a try.
(I could speak more on this but it's late in the morning and I want to go to bed. Excuse me if this sounds like a troll.)
Adults can be afraid of the dark as well. It simply takes teaching (what's the word I'm looking for? was used a lot in Brave New World) to be able to know the difference between violent games and real violence both consciously and unconsciously. I do not believe it takes 25 years of abstinence from the viewing of violence to understand this difference.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there simply a syntactic difference, then, between a tail-recursive function and an iterative function, provided that tail-recursion is implemented by the compiler/interpreter in the optimized way you mention?
It took R&D to come up with the idea?

just as soon as FMV games get back in swing.
Yeah, I was actually being an idiot and didn't know the difference, but thanks for acknowledging its intended meaning nonetheless. :)

Tim 'Grim Fandango' Schafer, you mean.
RTX and Gladius are both internally developed.
I also note a resemblance in the shoes. But yeah, the music is not at _all_ alike.
The credits say "Thanks, Michael" I believe, so, yeah, it would make sense if he offered.
:P thanks
Yeah, I've heard that technology line before; wanted to verify... Thanks for the info.
Does anybody who's used both know if the generic maracas are a good approximation of the official? Looking to make a purchase.
mod parent up

Where do you live? I wanna live there, too, now
No.

The other end of the spectrum.

OK, now would be a good time for me to make a deposit at a sperm bank. Gwar! Waiting 'til 2k4. At least there's Psychonauts. And Broken Sword.
