  1. Apple summed up in one breath! on Steve Jobs Movie Clip Historically Inaccurate, Says Woz · · Score: 5, Insightful

"His idea was to make a $20 PC board and sell it for $40 to help people at the club build the computer I'd given away"

  2. In related news... on Did Sweden Pay Cambodia For the Pirate Bay Co-founder? · · Score: 1

Secretary of State Clinton, after being asked on her way out of an industry conference hosted by the MPAA, assured reporters that the US's recent $60MM contribution to "strengthen ties" with Sweden was completely unrelated.

  3. NorthMobilePost.com? on Latest Netflix Earnings Report Mixed · · Score: 1

The Engadget article isn't really negative at all, while TFA is completely slanted and makes it seem like Netflix is about to fall any day. And maybe I've been living under a rock, but I've never heard of "NorthMobilePost.com". Just seems like flame bait or competitor propaganda to me. Netflix is still the king of the hill and their subscriber base is growing.

  4. Big Brother's Honeypot on London Installing Largest Free Wifi Network · · Score: 0

    "London Installing Largest Government-Run Honeypot"
    Fixed that title for you

This joke went further over @houghi's head than the ISS

  6. Songs From The Second Floor on Long Takes In the Movies, Antidote To CGI? · · Score: 1

Has anyone seen Roy Anderson's "Songs From The Second Floor"? It's a really great Swedish film about the end of the world that consists pretty much entirely of long, mesmerizingly awesome shots. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120263/

  7. Boooring on Robot Swarm Control On Microsoft's Surface · · Score: 1

I was expecting something a lot cooler than that after reading the description. And why is it so slow? Even with the video sped up to 3x it was still painful to watch.

I can't help but think of this video every time the Table Computer is mentioned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZrr7AZ9nCY

  8. War as entertainment on How Will Contemporary War Games Affect Veterans? · · Score: 1

"...such depictions are essentially created as entertainment and to make money..." Isn't that pretty much all war is anyway? Especially the current one... If the military-industrial complex and the ruling classes can get money and entertainment out of it, why can't the little guys?

  9. Detroit "bombing attempt" on US Changes How Air Travelers Are Screened · · Score: 1

I'm so sick of people calling this a bombing attempt. If you actually read the details of it rather than just listening to the buzz and fear mongering, you would have learned that it was just some deranged idiot who tried to light a firecracker on the plane...NOT a "terrorist plot". When are people going to start to wake up and stop being controlled by this stupid idea of terrorism being a global threat lurking around every corner?

  10. Re:Basically? on What Is Holding Back the Paperless Office? · · Score: 1
