I agree to some extent. While I didn't mind the Ewoks, they really didn't add that much to the universe and did seem somewhat out of place. It's like it was added in specifically to appeal to little kids who would in turn cry out for Ewok toys. I wouldn't say the Ewoks on their own was a 'jump the shark' moment, but it was probably the first sign things were going downhill.
Actually I do think the RIAA and MPAA would be using their public blocks of IP ranges. Mind you, not exclusively. You have to think about it this way. They are looking to scare people more than anything else. Pick out a few average Joes and make an example of them. Now think of how many people are actually trading material.
True, anyone who thinks peer guardian is an airtight solution is an idiot, but that doesn't stop me from using it (or at least the azureus plugin). Like many aspects of internet security for the average user, it's less about an airtight defense, and more about not being the easy target.
heh, yeah. Something like this might actually get me off my ass, at least for a few minutes.. whats so bad about that? They need to make one of these for the pc, so I can lose a little weight while playing samurai showdown on neorage or mame...
Ok, so say a teen wants to find some information on something important, but embarasssing, or something they don't want their parents to know about... say teen pregnancy, breast and testicular cancers, etc. Parents are going to be watching at school, so you can't look it up there, the same obviously goes for at home. Libraries are going to block it becuase it has to do with sex. What other avenues are there? I think we have sucessfully fucked ourselves over in trying to protect our children....
The article makes some good points, but in the end it's all about the games. And with the sucess of the PSX, the the ps2s backwards compatability, and all the insane hype it's getting, where do you think all the good games are going to be? Sega just doesn't have enough pull...

Nasty villian & minions threaten a planet. Gohan, Krillin, & friends face minions alone. Freinds get their asses kicked. Krillin falls after one blow, gohan kicks a little ass, but then falls. Goku arrives just in time, kicks minions asses like they were nothing, and has a long drawn out battle with villian & defeats him with a last ditch effort.

yeah, there have been rumors of turner starting up an all anime network, and all CN's new anime seems to support this...
Lets not forget the epci freiza battle, where each episode averaged less than a minute on namek.
