There's most certainly a doctor shortage here in Ontario. A great many of the older ones are retiring, and the new grads don't want to leave the bigger cities to go work in small towns, especially in the north. The towns have to pay outrageous bonuses just to get them up there, and those salaries are not sustainable in the long run. So yeah, there's always a shortage of people who want to be paid crap after 10-20 years in their careers!

It's news because you couldn't get them unlocked straight from Apple in the USA before, duh. I just hope this stops the insane cross-border grey market that caused the insane lineups when the 4 came out last year. I'd put good money down to bet that 50-75% of the people walking out of Apple stores last year with 2 iPhone 4s were selling immediately selling them.

If BitCoin is so great, why am I only hearing about it now, after the early adopters have had ~2 years to get their first mover advantage and squirrel away untold (potential) millions? Because it was to their extreme advantage to not let too many people in on it at the early stages when the "cost" to compute the hashes was still absurdly low. It's a pyramid scheme, plain and simple.

I know on my company's sites, the main traffic last year was about 90% IE, with a 50/50 split of IE6 and IE7.
