    i really don't hear any compelling arguments agaisnt vb. the market obviously needed it, and ppl do enjoy writing it. it all depends on what kind of software system you need and pick the right tool for the job, and other considerations in business.

    Yeah, I think Echo is probably the most quiet framework out there that has all the great quirks even before Web 2.0 term was out. It receives less attention than it deserves.

    Also, GWT doesn't seem all that complete at all. Dojo is a pretty good place to look for AJAX componentsd as well. http://dojotoolkit.org/

    I'm using Gizmo from gizmoproject.com. It's a SIP phone, cheaper than skype for dial in and dial out services, plus a pretty usable ui for linux as well. I'm using both dial-in and dial-out services.

    orbital, the orb, underworld, bt, chicane, ian pooly, llorca, jazzanova, leftfield..

    some djs - paul oakenfold, paul van dyk, dave ralph, danny tanaglia, sasha and digweed...

    look at BBC Radio 1 or something for some top DJ charts, they are all pretty good.

    Search for 'Yucca' on NPR. There are some great discusions in All Things Conisdered.

    There are more than just environmental issues, but also the amount of waste that is to be shipped may take years. Also, there are still unresolved issues.
