  1. Re:I don't get it... on McDonalds Facing Lawsuit For Happy Meal Toys · · Score: 1

I'm sorry, but I just have to disagree with that. They cater to a marketplace filled with lazy parents that have no idea - or frankly just don't care - about the long-term health risks this particular kind of food can have on their children. It's the same with drugs (in my opinion). If there was no demand for drugs, we would have no drug dealers. I think the only thing there is no demand for which we have in abundance is... taxes.

  2. I have a better idea on The "King of All Computer Mice" Finally Ships · · Score: 1

Gut an old mouse and glue the components to the bottom of your keyboard. Make a little hole in the top of the keyboard for the scroll wheel. Put little non-sticky pads on each corner of the keyboard, and voila!! All the buttons you could possibly want on your brand new SUPER MOUSE OF DOOM!

The only kids that will get fat from happy meals are the ones which are taken to McD by their parents. How does taking away the toy help? "No sweety, they don't have the meal with the toys anymore, but you can have the big McTasty instead"... Educate the parents, for f***s sake. McD only delivers because there is a demand. Get rid of the demand, problem solved.

I'm very disappointed with this story. I was just about to go out and buy a Wii and dust off the magical-moonshine-machine in the basement.... but this has NOTHING to do with brewing alcoholic beverages in the comfort of your home :(

On this particular machine I don't really have an option. The only "upgrade" option for XP available to me is to remove it from the system and go over to 100% Linux. My hardware doesn't deal well with Vista/Win7, and Microsoft doesn't want to give me an usable alternative. So XP/Linux dualboot will be staying intact for at least a couple more years.

That's one movie I'm not going to see. It must be absolutely, mind-blowingly horrible, since it apparently has gotten so little money in - in theaters and DVD sales - that the company has to sue 5000 filesharers, just in order to pay the cast and other people involved in the movie. I mean... wow... that movie has to blow, big time. Can anyone confirm that this movie is that bad? Come on, some of you have to have downloaded it, right?

I think the software companies are making more than enough money. More money for them will not provide more jobs, it will only provide more money for the deep pockets at the top. And that is what this is really about. It's all about more $$$ for the few.
