No I'm not a cracker virus writer I am logical though. There are TONS of exploits for Linux jackass. They do exist and you not wanting ot admit it doesn't make it go away. Read gsgriffins response it sounds like he has some experience working with linux. Talking about theft banks are still a favorite of thieves and far more is still stolen from banks than from 7-11's. You're analogy still works a little though. The low end thugs with no talent( script kiddie sfo rour purposes ) hit 7-11's, crooks with more finesse (actual crackers) steal much larger amounts by defrauding banks. Both get robbed so obviously even with security there is risk. jackass.
and in other news this virus had an industrial target. It wasn't simply looking to disrupt internet traffic. Once a malware writer decides they want to disrupt internet traffic in general I'm sure we'll see things written to affect those linux machines. Don't get me wrong i prefer linux and run it at home but blaming the target doesn't solve the problem. If you are putting forth the idea that no viruses/malware/exploits exist for linux then you sir are either woefully unaware or a complete idiot.
and if macOS were ever to become popular enough that malware writers decide to target it? Just because something is too obscure to be targeted does not mean it's totally secure. The virus was written for windows because that's what the system runs. If it ran Linux it would have been a Linux virus.
I won't dispute that windows has it's share of holes that is true. The thing is they end up being found more often because 90% PC's run it. If Linux or macOS had that market share they would be put under the same magnifying glass buy exploit writers. It's the same reason that more legit software is written for Windows than macOS or Linux. The writers want as wide a distribution as possible.
It would be more appropriate if M$ were to create a IE6 vitualization patch that runs in IE8. Small acts of friendliness like that go a long way with customers.

Why even bother gaming if you are going to use an automated "trainer"(read bot). How fucking lazy can you be to not even truly participate in your leisure activities.
a disturbance in the force, it's as if a million aalowance dependent voices cried out from a million basements in desperation and then were silenced.........
Well put and moreover while M$ is charging manufacturers a a licensing fee to use W7 mobile, they are integrating options like xbox integration that are decidedly consumer focused. MOre likely the licensing fee is because M$ wants to get paid and believes their product will be worth it. Whether that is true remains to be seen.
If you can I would try the version 10.5 drivers then. They have been stable on all my applications. Also you mention running more than one. They do have special downloadable profiles for running on crossfire in certain programs.
I was having that issue with the newest drivers as well. I found that rolling back to the 10.5 driver version on my 4870 fixed all the stability issues for me.
After spending a good portion of my life living in the cities and them moving out to the country for the past few years i would have to say you are wrong. Rural people tend to not only own weapons but know how to clean/maintain them. They don't carry weapons for flash or intimidation but do actually know how to fire them accurately. A starving city dweller with no knowledge of the area he is in vs someone familiar with the territory who is fed and defending his property. Yeah my money is on the redneck( I say that affectionately because i am slowly becoming one).
I'd agree that it would be nice to have Blizzard allow private servers. That isn't really the issue here though. The problem is that the hacks used here specifically work around the shut off of achievements while the hacks are being used. So it is a deliberate attempt to up their score and has very little to do with using the software as you please and everything to do with manipulating a scoring system.
Your analogy doesn't really fit here.Obviously you could refuse to print whatever you like. An ISP isn't analogous to a printing company. This is more akin to the post office refusing to deliver your mail to you because you choose to ship via fedex instead of using them.
Ok so competitive gaming isn't as highly paid as professional sports but would you also be ok with performance enhancing drugs? How about corked bats? Maybe it should be ok to fix horse races? Just because it's a video game doesn't really change the fact that it's shitty to try and move up the ladder illegitimately. Those who cheat or support cheating are just showing everyone how much they have embraced their own ability to utterly fail.
Believe me I understood the classes pretty well, and my system is not low end. I realize it wasn't every player but there were enough to have a significant impact. It was fairly easy to tell who was using something like warbuddy.
I played from beta up until about a year after release. I loved certain aspects of the game. There some pretty nasty bugs, horrific lag in the forts and such. What really drove me out of the game was Mythics lack of dealing with the hackers(speed/gcd etc). More than not dealing with it on the forums they acted as if it wasn't happening. A pvp game where your opponent is using a hack really isn't that much fun. Admittedly it wasn't everyone, there were great players on both sides, but there were enough hacks to ruin it alot of nights. Does anyone know if they've dealt with this? Because if the fixes ppl spoke about here are true and the hacks have at least been somewhat dealt with I would seriously consider reactivating my account.
Are you serious? Where are you from? While what you've said is true it also begs us to removes freedom of choice and puts responsibility on society rather than the individual. Many of us prefer the ability to do as we please and deal with what comes with that. Feel free to move to where totalitarianism is welcome.
Well said sir/ma'am! I just spent the last of my mod points or you would receive one. There are many parents who would do well to read and understand this.
It was less the Republicans selling their souls to the fundies and more them creating the religious right as it is today. A good book to read on this is Holy Terror by Flo Conway and Jim Siegelman. More importantly though i wish people in the U.S would stop equating political debate with screaming bullshit Republican/Democrat sound bites at each other. Wake up and recognize that neither party serves the interest of the American people. It's a redirection game that keeps the public from realizing that they are being led by the nose. Wake up fuckers neither party is your friend and the time for real change is now.
No one forgot facebook's purpose, even for facebook structuring the service this way creates far more noise than signal. Think before you speak please.
Why the hell would an option to do something like this even be added. I can see an invite system offering the ability to accept or deny an invite but being able to add someone automatically? Damn it was bad enough when my friends and I used to have junk mail wars and see who could get who on the worst mailing lists. This only ended when someone sent baby product catalogs to the wife of friend who was having trouble getting pregnant. I'm kind of surprised that guy survived. Perfect example of why this is a bad idea....someone always goes too far. Let's face it NAMBLA is pretty damn offensive.
So during the cold war we condemn countries like East Germany for having people spy on their neighbors. Good thing the Berlin Wall came down now we can import the useful pieces of their ideology.

So there's a good chance there was some other legitimate reason to want him removed from the planet.

Sorry man I've been to both Wegman's and Publix. Publix is trying to copy the Wegman's model. They are close but Wegmans wins hands down.
