I don't see what the big deal is with the WIndows 8 interface. In practice I've found it virtually identical to Windows 7, only it handles tearing off browser tabs into new windows better and instead of the "Start menu" it displays the "Start screen" for the single second it takes me to type "snip" and strike Enter.
After using it for a month or so at work I have to assume those complaining about it have either never used it or are complete morons, because none of the complains make any sense otherwise.
You never have Internet outages? Comcast craps out on me at least once a year for a few hours to a day. It's certainly caused more downtime for my Chromebook than any problems on Google's end.
What part of having separate viewing panes for the article and the headline list do you think is like what I described? Even if that weren't the case, Evolution is going to lack the cloud-based syncing that I find mandatory _and_ involves entanglement with GNOME garbage. Both deal breakers. The user experience of Outlook tied to a single local computer is hardly what anyone should want from an RSS reader.
But you're never going to get the relative consistency and convenience of Google Reader out of a self-hosted solution. At least not if you care about having mobile access and hate the idea of using a mobile web browser for access it.
I'd pay a lot more than $36/year for Google Reader. Pretty much hating all of the alternatives though. Really, is it so fucking hard to have a list of feeds on one side and a list of article headlines that expand to show the full text when clicked on the other?
Seems reasonably nice, but I don't think it'll work for me. One of the main things I use Google Reader for is aggregating podcast feeds and Old Reader doesn't even provide a direct link to the audio file, let alone give me the option to listen to it inline. Anyone got other alternatives that will integrate media into the RSS reader itself?
Too bad Google didn't just make it a subscription service. I'd pay a pretty decent amount of money to keep Google Reader around.
Nearly every update seems to get stuck trying to reapply itself whenever Steam restarts. Not sure how common this is, but it's hardly isolated to my machine.
You haven't really thought it through or you don't understand. The garbage collector would get paid for doing his job, which would be separate from the basic income. Maybe the price of garbage collection goes up to pay the collectors more, but someone would certainly do it.
Only problem with a -1 system is that it would require two, and only two, candidates in each race. What we really need is instant runoff voting. Let's you vote for the person you want without forcing you to sacrifice that vote just because your candidate of choice doesn't have a shot in hell of winning.
Also, what's the deal with caps lock? Why the hell is that key still on the keyboard? NOBODY uses it and... I've gone waaaaaaaaaaay off-topic haven't I? I'll shut up and let the rest of the post be insightful.
I use caps lock every day, you insensitive clod! It's cruise control for cool.
Our choice this year is either John Jackson or Jack Johnson. Two right-wingers who won't do anything substantial except work to erode more of our freedom, privacy, and wallets.
Where's the ambiguity?

How is there even a question here? Google Reader.

I stand corrected. That's awesome! I'll definitely be looking into that, thanks.
What if they're addiction is to city building games and the bump they get from the last Anno has started to diminish from overuse?

I don't know what everyone is complaining about. Feedly's interface shit, who gives a fuck if it requires an extension?

While my assuming that you know what you're talking about is probably unwise, the fact that you while my assuming bodes ill.
You can find them just about everywhere these days. Hell, the fucking 7-11 down the block has several varieties.
It's legal to sell warez in Finland as long as you paid for it from someone else first?
So Valve aren't working on version X+1 of the Source engine? That's a weird thing to imply.

There's really nothing worthwhile about libertarians at all, they're fucking idiots about almost everything.

First of all don't forget that the world is bigger than the US of A
It is not! Apologize for your lies right now!

People already take the Libertarians far too seriously. Jokers, cranks, and lunatics, every one of them.
Our choice this year is either John Jackson or Jack Johnson. Two right-wingers who won't do anything substantial except work to erode more of our freedom, privacy, and wallets.
FTFY.
Because we already voted by mail weeks ago and would otherwise forget there was an election coming up.
What's his official account? Not @mittromney, because that's a joke for sure.
